I agree in sentiment (although WK is not with billions)

Just to point out that while WK was profitable last year, I don’t think it will be this year because of the reduced output. I’m expecting the 2019 accounts to look fairly poor. Well, just the figures. I’m expecting the ceo report to be very positive!

It will be 18 months or so before we see WK profitable again, and I expect it to make just about enough to cover admin costs, ie net profit to be zero. But, a lot of that admin cost is directed towards selling MT which hopefully will make everything I just said completely moot.

I think the point is, this is happening whether you like it or not.

Separately, this is an investment opportunity.

It won't come to their attention. How would know about what's happening in Australia if they can't even charge their iPhones?

1) I assume you have electricity in your home. How would you feel about climate change if you were one of the 30% of Pakistanis who don't have electricity?

2) The government has spent billions of infrastructure to get to this point. They are hardly going to pull the plug now.

I'm a simple man, let's do the simple maths.

2M oz sold for about £600M. 15M oz should sell for £4.5B. Less a very generous £1B to construct the mine = £3.5B. Less 25% taxes and fees = £2.6B. 80% of which is EUA's = £2.1B. That's about 84p per share.

Nobody's relying on the Sheikh. It's all about the funding now. Funding sorted means we get 12% of the multi-billion pound resource after costs. The Chinese are responsible for the funding.

Right. So the government poured all this money into infrastructure, for the 30% of its population without electricity in their homes, only to pull the plug (unintentional pun) at the eleventh hour?!
