Based on my observations and guesses I would agree, mj. But I have suspended my own guesses in deference of the fact that EV is expected to be only 50% of new cars in 20 years. Don't look at anecdotes, Google the facts. Pd is going to be in high demand for a long time.

I enjoy your posts Casper but feel the need to point out that you could say the exact opposite too. 'Next month' could mean January 1st. Why was it pushed off...? So I'm not sure your inference works on this occasion.

Facts are facts:

Only 2.1% of new cars worldwide are EV
Projected to take 20 years to get that to 50% - in other words even mid-century half the cars made will still need Pd
Only half of the Pd extracted is used in cars anyway
Pd prices are soaring due to high demand

Also, only half of the Pd supply is for cars

Also, only 49% of Pd is used in cars

I did see a projection for about 50% to be electric by 2040. That's a lot of non-electric cars that need Pd.

Apart from all those factories as well of course

While I have the accounts open in front of me, I might as well point out that intangible assets were £802,661. This represents cost capitalised, NOT the current market value. The current market value of MT is not on the balance sheet. hence the (shortsightedly imo) low share price.

EUA parent company had 2 employees. The group had 23. Any function that is outsourced will not be part of this number, so it's not surprising this number is relatively small as they contracted the mining out last year.

Not sure why this matters but the group had a average of 23 employees during 2018. See note 7 of the published year-end accounts.
