the rumour circulating around the city is that mr bonnier is back in town....

not sure what to make of it...

Some views on valuation:

at 4-5x revenue (i.e. 20 pounds and over)...it was still trading below revenue transaction / comp multiples in the audio-tech sector etc

at 2x revenue (i.e. 10 pounds)..it was trading way under revenue multiples in audio-tech/tech sectors

at 1x revenue (i.e. now)...revenue multiple valuation disparity is insane. However, it is not trading c.18-20x earnings...so on an that basis for the growth rates we are seeing, its incredibly good value. And net cash.

oogle...I could not agree more. if there is any business in my view which one should be allocating as much as of their wealth as humanely possible...this is it. Its margin of safety is immeasurable. Throws off so much cash, has no capex needs, has negative working capital (i.e. free financing), growing rapidly and is a tiny fish in a huge pond...and trades on metrics you'd expect to see in a no growth business.

Fill your boots.

The really interesting question is how come no director buys since results....that really is a first ever for this company....

Certainly potentially the case...but wouldn't worry about it. Long term is what matters.

pretty bloody obvious why this is dropping like a stone...our government, soon to be a labour one, is a **** show. mark my words...no labour government will allow fracking - one of their strongest minded policies!!! as stupid as it is....thats the way it is...and IGAS will be truly screwed as a result.

Yeah honestly...this guy keeps posting about the company having only customer...I'm not sure what planet he is on. Very weird...

It’s a good spot. And any early stage stuff that didn’t reach the board would lead to an NDA being signed.

Another ton of sells here today...very very odd. A company that is performing superbly and has an incredibly well incentivized management team, yet only volumes are large sells in the 1mm range. Weird.

Spamming the board here a little...but a key thought from me. We found out yesterday (having now watched presentation) that the company did not receive those rumored offers....this is very very important: Tobin was loading up at 22 pounds in the knowledge that the rumors' were untrue...filling his boots - a lot of his buying was done above 15 pounds.

So an EQT (one of most successful tech PE funds in world) was buying in heavily at 4x the price today purely on the company's independent future. Says something doesn't it...

I'll be honest, I was getting cold feet about the company before yesterday...was expecting a really dire update and had lost faith a bit. But the 33% growth ex Morbid and the cash buildup, professionalism of the update in the afternoon, and taking into account current valuation levels, the high levels of director buying...lots of great positives. Right now you are paying 20x earnings for a company growing 50% yoy, while it's substantially net cash.

Totally agree with this...I have absolutely no doubt this is a screaming buy for any large media tech platform. These guys pay more than BOOM's current market cap for single shows at the moment...

Better than expected day for shareholders here today...good to see. As I've been banging on about for weeks, growth ex Morbid was exactly as I guessed at c.33%...very impressive.

More than volume numbers, I'm very impressed that they were flat YoY in this environment, and with all that superb cash management as well. The one thing I'm really confident about with them is the mgmt. team and Tobin are professional operators and well incentivized on top. Hoping to see some good director buys tomorrow at these levels, and hoping it's more than £50k.

I'll give you an objective answer. Versus Q3 last year and Q2 of this year, they lost Morbid which accounted for 25% of the Group's podcast download numbers. Amidst a severe global recession and cut in wider ad spend, they managed to stay pretty much flat YoY and are seeing signs of improvement over the past 2 months. They are decent numbers in this environment....surely you can admit that...

Impressive numbers given the loss of Morbid and the macro-environment...I was expecting sub 15mm this quarter, so highly encouraged they have managed to post this. Not expecting a jump in SP but great to see them hold up better than expected...you have to look at these numbers on an excluding Morbid basis.

I disagree on Candy here...what has he done exactly? He continues to hold throughout...admittedly seems like a bit of a plonker but can't really knock him for SP movements. It's all Bonnier...who seems like an incredibly nasty individual.

The company in my view needs some more senior experienced NED's, who are willing to take some decent levels of shareholding, and more institutional investors. Key for me is Herald...I'm surprised they have not bought more, in my view would be the best RNS we could get if they up their holding.

This business is unfortunately going to be caught up in some extremely nasty foreign policy wars between the US and China...through no fault of its own. Incredible shame as it is a good business and in normal times is supplying a very attractive market/product.

Good example of how geopolitics is always the most potent force when investing....and US-China is the most potent of geopolitics force since WW2/Cold War...

we have not heard anything...I think through no fault of their own they might have been stuck my market conditions on it. That or they are just planning to announce on results day perhaps. Has anyone had the trading update date confirmed next week?
