Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Shedit...the context is correct...but you also make the argument yourself...in August 2021 we were still benefitting from the massive Morbid numbers...so we have managed to increase ex. Morbid over that timeframe significantly (c. 50%!!)...
Context that matters is that I think. We were told at FYE we were losing Morbid...in the analyst's forecasts for this year. What matters is the grow ex Morbid.
definately not irrelevant...we are in a structurally growing industry and a player that has 35 employees but competes head to head with the big boys in podcasting...and we are only independent one reporting a profit. it's a fabulous business.
my guess is bonnier wasn't fully out...only explanation I can think of. or potentially the wife's holding is now being offloaded...who knows?
I’m sad to say I don’t know when it will stop in this market. Have a lot going against us….
I’d say it’s obvious this is way out of whack now vs. Fair value. Realise the company is doing well and look away I guess (wish I could take my own advice!)
We really need some m&a discussion for any near term recovery!
at these valuation levels....I just don't see it...honestly fascinated to hear what others think trump it...
at 7x p/e...over 100% cash conversion...im stumped...
yup it's a good point...agreed and noted. interested to hear from others invested here...is this highest conviction holding? i would say for me it truly is....
interested to know if anyone has businesses they have even higher belief in than this one...
this is now the huge risk with this share....some buyout at 150 or something...highly likely as well. and we don't have a good shareholder base that would be able to block something...
I just cannot understand how this is under 7x earnings for FY23. Mental....absolutely mental. With growth potential that is one of fastest out there.
was also so so so tempted....also will probably regret!
haha brilliant find...now we know!!
so on here Kat hated the business but bought in the teens anyway...
on the other board he thinks the mcap should be 20mm and he has a short position...
I'm laughing out loud.
I think thats a bit OTT. Can see the rational that this is an area in which scale wins out...and in difficult times will be able to pick stuff up on cheap (especially in tech markets)...so I think thats a little short sighted. Valuations nothing like back then and this company and its previous targets have been bought on value stock like multiples for high growth and ridiculously high cash conversion...
My only point is that VPN was big...perhaps a bit more patience would make sense till it beds in. However, this is an astute team and a team who look long term...I've got confidence.
don't know what his true colours are but his view on Tobin's buying is just utterly bizzare and completely illogical. That and his disdain for the company which he claims to be invested in....
altogether a strange investor.
Forgive my ignorance but does the non-number in the RNS just signify that they don't have to report the actual number under 3%? or does it mean 0%?
i would have thought 0%
It's potentially the case...corruption and insider trading at these levels is rampant so wouldn't surprise.
Its a tough one...I really liked the ExpressVPN acq. - it was needed and gave the company an unbelievable platform.
However...I think it needs to be bed in more before more acquisitions take place personally. I could be proved wrong...
Still believe holding this for 5 years will make you rich, along with centralnic.
Hey Rivaldo...always interested to hear your views. How do you think about this placing?
I was a little surprised....not sure if I totally agree with philosophy of it...
