Idiots…he also said ‘sit on your hands’ at less than a penny…this isn’t about popularity. Get over yourselves…
I think Redtrader has been here for a while guys. He’s just getting a little miffed recently for reasons that are probably his own, so let’s not judge too harshly. However, RedTrader, the longevity with GGP is irrelevant. It should be one of the fastest paths to production ever. Check out the likes of Solgold to see a more ‘normal’ timelength. Or even De Grey who kind of found their massive ore body at pretty much same time as us. We are rapid in comparison.
Except for the ones close to an already working processing plant ;-)
Haha, my comment doesn’t mean I really agree with your perspective though. Speedy. I think you’re vision, although maybe possible in a long long time, it would mean as others have said, a society in real real trouble. It’s a bit extreme and I hope to devil it never gets there.
I’m curious as to how Freddie used ‘good ol’ cash’??? Surely it was just numbers on a computer screen? They don’t take cash for paper shares anymore do they? ;-)
And we really need to stop worrying about the amount of shares we have in issue…some of the biggest company and dividend payers in the world have way more shares in issue than us.
I’m 100% with JerrySpaniel here. Not so much with regards to the small investors but the fact that we could end with 100% of Telfer/Havieron would be massive. We’re taking about a behemoth of a processing plant that would become a hub for processing ore in Paterson’s ‘elephant country’ plus an already mahoosive Havieron that could have up to 30moz of gold equivalent ore or more!! That is some ‘origin story’ for GGP and the team to build their ‘multi-asset, multi-commodity, multi-factorial’ company!! The dilution would quickly be forgotten.
Freddie, you’re like those football supporters that loves their team one week and hates their team the next…at least you’re consistently inconsistent I suppose.
How’s this one for you as to why I held…? I’m ‘poor’, always have been ‘poor’ and probably always will be ‘poor’…so when you’ve always had nothing, you’ve got nothing to lose. So I held on and keep holding on as well as adding over the years…who knows, I might just get lucky, I sleep like baby and I’m “content” almost every day of my life…Cheer up guys, at the end of the day all the money we will ever own is simply borrowed from the government…if they ever wanted it back they could take it off us tomorrow.
Way too many moaners on the BB today…:-(
Another cracking presentation from SD and some good ‘Aussie’ forward thinking questions at the end rather than the usual inane questions he gets about the SP and director buys etc almost all other times.
Personally I think Shaun Day needs to get on the blower to Alien Metals(UFO) publicity team…they’ve been smashing it this week!!! Best PR campaign ever!
I’m happy for Newcrest or Newmont to offer us 1 to 1 for our GGP shares ;-)
If Newmont start buying Newcrest shares on the open market and then follow it with a TR1 holdings RNS, they’re gonna end up paying way more than they would if they just upped the offer.
Lots of comments talking about ‘Newcrest defence/defending’ - but who says they want to defend. Maybe they want to sell the company and are just looking for the right price? Until a price acceptable to the board and major shareholders is tabled, then no vote required till then, unless it becomes hostile, which I don’t see happening.
Noel had the wisdom…Liam had the women!
100% with you Droverman. I want the story to continue in any way possible. Not interested at all in a total takeover where we lose our ownership of Havieron or the other sites.
In hindsight, after saying and reading that GGP could maybe end up with 100% Havieron, I have to say that seems highly unlikely. With initial outlay and capex, it would require close to and probably over £2bn. It just doesn’t really make financial sense for any smaller company to do this.
However, I can see us being integrated with Newmont, either in the form of a new ‘Havieron’ company. Newmont buy Newcrest and hold on to everything. They create another ‘side company’ to oversee and run the Paterson assets, let’s call it ‘Greatland’s Pater’ ;-)
They could easily form this new company that would hold 100% of Havieron. As GGP shareholders, we would be given 30% of all the shares in the IPO of this new company and GGP would cease to trade.
Thus a new company would be created which we would be 30% holders in. This could just as easily happen if Wyloo bought Telfer and Havieron too. Yet another possible scenario!! Such fun! ;-)
Haha. Cheers Tygra. Well put!
Used as leverage to get the required loan with the banks Summit. Add in Wyloo and Forrest and the options are there. Would be some wheeling and dealing required but Telfer itself is ‘valueless’ without Havieron. I’m just spitballing ideas. The options are there I think.
I still think it’s unlikely as Telfer in the Paterson with all the ore being found could end up also being priceless over the next 10/20 years. (Shoulder shrug emoji)
Or give them the whole 30% and we still end up with 70% and Telfer with the ability to charge other tolling fees for their ore!!! We still come out well on top. We could get £500m+ for our full 30% after the DTM and FS.
Royalty company might help…sell 5/10% of our 30% for to someone like Franco-Nevada and then using those proceeds buy up the 70% + Telfer. That kinda cash should cover the leverage needed for the bank loan…(oooh…the many many possibilities opening up!)
