I bought during the 2020 free money handouts boom though but still super confident. This is a lovely little thread on hotcopper about the new drill hits from the 6/3 especially the couple of Geos that post on there. They talk about the ‘deeps’ actually having moved and they expect them to be a lot shallower than first projected. Time will tell but massive landholdings in the Paterson.

Been saying that for years Goldworm. They’re a sleeping giant in my eyes. (if the world doesn’t implode). Would love a joint processing plant between the two bits of land right in the middle of it all eventually.
Amazing really…ASX goldies fly overnight and yet here they’re mostly static or down…makes you wonder why we bother investing anything in UK markets. (eye roll emoji/face palm)
A Gervaise/Sandeep combo…and they’re off into the wind with their cash (lol)…
:-0!!! Is this maybe what’s happened at Havieron?!?!? Have we got rocks instead of minerals and we’re being duped since the start? (Mudderfrackers!)
He Zoros, I think Sprott have always had 15p. It was Cannacord that had 18p and they’ve raised that now to 20p.
And I also think that when a company state “X ounces per year” production, thats after the recovery rate has been taken into account. They state the actual production numbers, not the ounces pre-recovery rate.
Good man Timber…knew I hadn’t misheard (thumbs up emoji)
Didn’t SD say he expected the whole Newmont bidding process to be resolved by end of April in an interview. Not long to wait…….
When drilling gets to the earths core…we’re gonna find Diamonds too!!! :-)))
Are you having a laugh aim999??? Of course there is. Nearly 70% of their exports are from mining and nearly 10% of their GDP too. In the UK it would take you ten years just to get the first permit for the first drill hole. Get a grip man. Incomparable.
And that’s one of the reasons SD wants to get us on the ASX. More high quality mining friendly investors. Will stabilise our SP here too with less swings.
Been following them since 5c. Great asset like ours but they’ve still to build a plant and get the funding for it. Long way to go there but great asset. Most Aussies went up yesterday but today is a different day. Watch them all drop at their opening tonight.
Not sure about this aim99 (eye roll emoji)
All ‘explorers’ I’m following are down and the biggest mining sector riser is like 9%. Maybe producers are rising but not explorers.
Haha sorry Jerry, didn’t realise it was you that posted that about Winu. Must have been tongue in cheek then obvs. I Didn’t pick up the sarcasm then :-)
What’s a couple of months compared to a 30 year mine life? :-0
And…20c AUD is only 11p GBP at todays prices, so consolidation might not be required for dual listing when the time comes.
Also, I have the decommissioning cost of Telfer at over $1.5bn from an article last year. Can’t remember which or wheee but it was definitely closer to $2bn than $500m. Great leverage for SD to play with that (thumbs up emoji)
Guys, there is absolutely no way ‘Telfer’ would ever be used for ‘Winu’. It’s over 100km+ away. If it’s expensive to haul it from Havieron, imagine what it would cost from ‘Winu’!!! I have no problem buying it up off of Rio though if they don’t want it, but that would definitely need it’s own processing plant. But with ‘Antipa/Rio’ JV of Magnum/Calibre nearby it could be a very interesting coup for GGP.
In terms of a processing plant at Havieron, I’d like to think it would be maybe considered after we get to free cash flow and built using the profits from Havieron. What makes a plant at Havieron interesting is that if, if, if we find ‘other’ economically viable minerals outside of Gold/Copper then we could feasibly build the plant to process those minerals and keep the gold/copper going to Telfer, whilst producing whatever other minerals we want at the new plant. (Silver/Zinc/Lead/Diamonds/moon rocks)
That way we become a ‘multi-factorial’ mining company :-))) (fingers crossed emoji)
I’ve recently thought/decided that the crazy 2020 private investor led, covid assisted share price craziness of that year, actually saved us from an early buyout. If we hadn’t had that run up to being totally overpriced, then Gervaise would have definitely sold the lot to Newcrest for around 15-18p I reckon(probably less). The fact we went so high meant that Newcrest were completely blocked from buying us out at a cheap(ish) price.
After that rise, Gervaise rightly realised he wouldn’t be able to cope with what was needed over the next year or two so stepped down and Shaun stepped in. I am now thankful for that as we get to go ‘proper mining’ (fingers crossed).
More mining savvy Aussie investors! ;-)
