Wednesday’s flatline was very strange considering the volumes we were seeing. Reckon it was a big buyer or big seller going through. These shares are in very sticky hands, so any large transactions might take a while to get through. Judging by the price after the flatline, it was most likely a buy.

On the GGP comment, Ernest Giles is still theirs and it’s being drilled this year. Newmont might come back in for that area after the results. Today, it’s been confirmed that they’re going into the ASX 200 and 300 in the next two weeks. The comparison to Cobra is a strong one. We just need to get the work done now 👍

Hey Bitcoin, it was Newmont that walked away from a GGP JV around 2018/19. They walked away from Ernest Giles (which was the reason I first invested in GGP). The potential JV for Ernest Giles saw GGP go to nearly 3p but the day they walked we tanked to like 0.5p. Then we hit Havieron and then Newcrest came in for the JV which saw the share price fly again. There were a lot of worried investors after that but Havieron was a stroke of luck and the rest as they say…is history.

On another note…looks like we’re flatlining again today…😉

On another note, we’ve totally flatlined since the Webinar. Not sure I’ve seen us flatline like this for years. Totally straight.

Haha! Wow!!! Think that might be the first time I’ve heard someone mention ‘Havieron’ & ‘Cadia’ in the same sentence. If you combined those two, you’d probably have the greatest ore body in the history of mining 🤣 We can only hope.

We need to use the processing facilities nearby as much as possible. It will lower capex, opex, AISC and timing in a massively beneficial way for us!!!

Wow ok. Building our own will be very time consuming, bordering on at least 3-5 years I would say. If it is big enough for that, then I’d hope they’d at least consider using the nearby plants at the same time as building the new plant. Win-win in that scenario and would help with funding too.

Any comments about the possible production plant already nearby?

What time we expecting Rupert today folks?

Happens to every board once the hype and herd arrive. We might be spared some of that due to being main market so in theory our swings shouldn’t be as bad. Keeps most of the day traders and quick buck merchants away.

Ive been in Cobra for probably well over 5 years at least Lazypunter and Rupert has been there as long as I have. I bought on the basis of the Warrentina gold project. That’s been sold off now for someone else to deliver it, but we still kept a piece of that pie too. Lucked out with REE and wasn’t expecting the new JV but the historic copper grades are phenomenal, so fingers crossed for that. The REE will come good, but like I said, it’s Main market, so very slow to progress due to funding limitations.

I found that info too Trombone, but considering we didn’t buy it off Olary and we now own Mannahill, I don’t see how it can still be theirs to process. But hopefully Rupert knows more about this and we can use that plant to process our stuff. It’s shallow so it could be a quick job if they get to it.

Cobra is a wee gem of a company Howard. Been in them for quite a while and things are now starting to move. It’s a main market company though, not AIM, so moves slower as it’s more restricted in what it’s allowed to do due to the rules. They’ll be no massive quick profits to be had there like the other crazy AIM shares this month. The Rare Earths project is very very good and just needs exposure right now as Rare Earth Minerals are exploding, especially down under. They’ve recently also JV’ed into a very exciting copper project. They like to under-promise and over-deliver like Shaun does. Hold tight with them and you should be very very pleased in 2-3 years.

Mannahill timings are gonna be affected by whether this “Olary Gold Mines” processing plant is still available to us. There is no official name for the plant, which is making it hard to find but Olary seem to still be in business. A quick AI Google check for distances, puts the Mannahill project at around 30-40km away from the supposed plant. Roads and amenities seem to already be in place.

If we do have the option of using this already built plant nearby then the timescales to production and the capex should both drop dramatically. Just need Rupert to let us know. Maybe a good question for the AGM?? He should know if the plant nearby is relevant to us and if he hasn’t heard of the plant then tell him to get in touch with Olary Gold Mine 😂👍

We should just get Teeling to release an RNS stating the following

“Arkle is considering applying for some tenements in Western Australia and plan to drill the bejesus out of them, if and when we succeed with the application.”

Then with a bit of ramping on the other crazy chat boards, the herd would quickly arrive and send this to the moon. The shares on issue are so minimal, we’d end up 100 bagging within a week 🤣

Don’t know the ins and outs of the Shanta story, but they went completely private, hence nowhere to hold or buy shares.

GGP will always remain on the ASX, so can’t imagine that scenario ever happening.

I have my ASX shares in my ISA and have bought and sold for years without an issue on any tax. Outwith an ISA I have no idea. Plus, buying and selling within the ISA doesn’t affect the allowance.

If people are really worried about the ‘Aussies’ taking us to the cleaners and “selling out” all UK retail, then it’s simple enough transferring the shares to the ASX. I’m sure they’d welcome it. If it can’t be done automatically, just sell and buy again. Most major platforms have the ASX (and within your ISA - I use Interactive Investor) so you’ll be covered if you think we’re about to get fleeced.

I’m not that fussed. AIM has the liquidity and plenty of Institutions on it so I don’t see us getting fleeced. But at least by moving to ASX, your stress levels should be less.

The project assays look pretty amazing to be fair, very very shallow too which is always a massive bonus. No idea if it’s cheap or not as hard to put a value on it per say. But the way I’ve read the deal is :

Seller gets around 1.5% of Cobra (AUD$1m shares from an mcap of around AUD$70m)

Seller also gets reimbursed for previous work (costs of this unknown)

Seller also retains 26% of the project going forwards.

We have the right to buy that other 26% at anytime after that at fair market value and the Seller will retain a 1% royalty.

Is it cheap or expensive, who knows? Seller gets a good deal and we get what seems a very good shallow assayed project. We need our drills to come back good now too.

But…the main favourable thing for me is there seems to be a processing plant nearby (according to Google anyway) owned by Olary Gold Mines, some recent info out there on them but didn’t delve much, if someone fancies having a go. This from 2022 actually mentions the Mannahill project. They seem to still be operational.

If there’s a working plant nearby it increases the projects value massively.
