The treasury part is irrelevant Bill. The reason they give the total shares is so that people can work out when they pass the notification amount. Dependant on markets and exchanges it varies. The holders themselves are the ones liable to notify, not the company.

So say Cobra had 10,000 share in issue. The 5% threshold would be 500 shares and the 3% would be 300. So as soon as any holder passes the relevant threshold, it’s down to them to fill out a form and send it to Cobra. All within a certain timeframe (probably 30 days) and can lead to fines etc if not done.

Hi RogB, yeah. Chances are some haven’t been exercised but needed to be put forward and processed in some way with the relevant authorities, as they run out end of the month regardless. But there’s other possible intricacies I’m not aware of either.

But either way, if you’re both new and wanting to learn, this info will slowly become second nature to you depending on how much time you spend looking at the RNS’. But, the only important thing is the actual number of shares in issue. The lower the number the better usually, as it means it’s harder to buy shares so when there’s demand, the price rises much faster. Close to 1bn shares isn’t that much for a small cap company. Some even have over 10bn shares. Again this can mean various things depending on the specific companies themselves. It doesn’t always mean the company is bad if they have a large number of shares on issue.

What part exactly Bill? There’s a few things in there.

The total shares are what it says total shares that mae up the company. This is the number that multiplied by the share price to find the company’s current market cap.

Held in treasury would be shares that have been issued at some point but for a number of reasons are now ‘off market’ (usually just temporarily). Again could be for a number of reasons. A quick goole search for why that happens should give you some answers.

It’s very rare for a company, especially a small cap one to have shares in treasury. The only way I know it happens is when a company does a ‘share buy-back’ of some sort.

Sorry, was looking at the average volume. Today’s volume actually says over 6m which is quite substantially higher than the norm…so who knows.

Hey Donald, the small ones are usually beginners using the different free trading apps. I don’t mind them, good luck to folks trying their luck from a small base. I wish I had those when I was a teenager. Would have had a great time using them.

Been keeping an eye on this since its divestment from the Alba (Welsh gold bull****) portfolio…Groc still way down from its original IPO but first time I’ve seen some proper movement. Is it due to a bit of pumping on other chat boards or are we looking at something more concrete?

Are GROC looking for funding to expedite the whole process and give a percentage away or are they looking for free grants from the EU/USA to help with it?

Nice concise update from Teeling. Multiple fronts on the go with Stonepark still the prized asset that’s worth multiples of current mcap. Group Eleven still doing their thing in Ireland and are progressing very well.

This is always gonna be a buyout play with Glencore or maybe even Group Eleven taking our Stonepark stake at a nice premium. They might even buy us outright. Great to hear talks are ongoing with multiple possibilities.

Yeah, the x50 seems excessive to me too. I reckon that includes all possible deposits being mined and no doubt a long long way away. However, the Capex for the initial high grade, shallow deposit, which has currently been in the limelight, is around $15m according to the broker note. (Seems doable if all above board) It’s only for around 25koz a year and in theory will be processed at nearby plant. That alone, if managed should see multiples of where we are now. (But not x50) Only caveat for me is location, so keeping eye on political interference or corruption going forwards.

I can’t remember if we found out about that possible processing plant near our Manna Hill project. Does it exist and can we use it? Will expedite the whole process if it’s available and logistically possible.

Yea anything that increases the daily average volume will be good for those warrants next year. We should have had plenty of ‘big’ catalysts by then too

Lovely bright day today. Now we just need to get the liquidity up over the next six months to counter the possible 2p warrants due next year. Some might even have been exercised already, but with higher share price and greater liquidity, the effect on the SP should be much less drastic. Hopefully back to the slow and steady rises now for the foreseeable.

Kingpin, I’d say all the above. GGP will probably have different ways of selling the stuff to different people in different forms. That’s the advantage of having a finance man in charge. He’ll make sure he covers all the bases.
