I think we debated the value of the gas to the Slovenians.

I questioned your thoughts and we discussed the terms and length of the present russian gas deal.

Think it was signed off on the 13th April 2018 ( 5 year deal till Jan 1st 2023 - contract provides for 600 million cubic meters of gas annually ).

WHYAST1605 - from the interim results - 6 months to June 2018 end - loss from trading activities ( £610k ). Based on the two wells in operation that is a commercial loss is it not ?

Surely if the two existing wells were able to produce. Revenue positive position AST would have funds in the bank and would not be in this present financial situation.

Contacting wells - are you saying additional wells bought on line will not likely deplete at a similar level to Pg - 10 ?

The more wells bought online the more re stimulation permits will be required on an ongoing basis year on year by any company still in the SR which may be considering a t/o - surely food for thought when valuing the asset.

Hotshot69 - I like most on here want the r n s - I will probably buy in on it for a quick trade, so on that basis we are all on the same side, but perhaps we p!ay the game differently.

How many wells maybe required in future to create a consistent ongoing positive monthly earnings production supply ?

If depletion levels are similar to Pg - 10 then it would appear that each well may need re stimulation every day 6 - 9 months

With Each re stimulation permit taking in excess of a year, how attractive is this present state of affairs likely to be any company left in the SR.

You may be aware I have raised this point on numerous occasions in the past without achieving a cogent reply.

We also know that the two present wells are not commercial, despite the leg up of the £1.5 m Oct 2017 placing the co. Is running on fumes.i guess you read the sept 20th interim results.

How many wells would you calculate would need to be bought into production to produce sustainable profitable monthly returns ?

Ignoring Pg 11 a and it's problems, looking at Pg - 10, depletion levels have resulted in a situation where it required re stimulation after say 6 - 9 months, depending g on your viewpoint.

I am assuming that Pg - 10 looked one of the best options early doors to AST.

Any co still in the SR must be thoughtful as to how many wells will need to be bought into production, and if depletion levels remain consistent with Pg -10 then regular regular re stimulation permits will be required on regular ogoing basis, would you not agree ?

Would you not agree that delays in permitting must be a major concern to any considering a T/O ?

No one likes sitting on a paper loss. One or two of my long term dividend shares, have drifted downwards since the summer. Probably a bit of Brexit worry, but hey ho - take the div and hold.

Iamnotspartacus - think we all buy shares with the aim to make a profit. AST has been good to me and I'll look back on it fondly.

I hope those that bought to hold and got locked in manage to recoup their paper losses.

Any news may give another day trade opportunity.

I see last sell at 0.861p - wonder how many have bought this week at 0.9p + and now also find themselves spiked.

I feel sorry for those that bought months and years back, as the story looked more rosy.

Those buying and holding for news now are on a pure gamble.

I may do one more in and out trade on news, if I see an opportunity based on sentiment and trading volume.

Not one I personally like holding overnight.

As a trader i can say for me that would be good news as I'd buy in on the rise, make 5% - 15 % then get out asap.

Then wait to see what happened next, i'm always looking for a quick daily trade.

Not sure what this will close at but if it finishes at this level then the "clever buyer" is looking at between a 3% - 5% loss to close out today. That's a circa £1080 - £1800 paper loss.

I traded this on Friday based on sentiment as i could see a quick in and out - very nice too. I am not one who wishes to hold over night here.

I feel for those LTH's who have been spiked having bought many months or even years back. and do hope something happens to allow some losses to be recovered. At the time of their buys they prob could not see things panning out like this.

However today's buy ( if its not closed out ) is a pure gamble on positive news. Maybe it was your buy ?

jamesgun - good trade - i manged to make just under 9% profit this morning after costs on a quick in and out.

Had expected it to drop back to sub 0.8p as the day moved on- but it looks like there was a second trading opportunity from around 11.30 - did any traders make two trades today ?

jpam - LC - how long do you think your latest profile will last lol ?

The focus on here is on the IPPC permit.

Surely any company still in the SR must be considering the time that the Slovenians take to agree well re stimulation permits. It may be incompetent paper work by AST that is responsible for some of the delays but if not there is a long term logistical operational problem here.

We know that current production levels are producing a loss for AST ( thank goodness for the extra £1.5 m p!acing generously donated by pi' s last Oct otherwise it could be game over by now ).

To date no one has replied to my question as to how many wells may be required in the future to maintain cashflow positive returns, bearing in mind close downs for re stimulation based on the performance of p g - 10.

So far AST has been in the process of attempting to secure a re stimulation permit for the existing two wells for over a year now !

What progress has been made in gaining approval for additional wells?

Am I right that on checking short tracker, there are no disclosed institutional short positions above the 0.5% declaration level.

Can't recall what the sp was when you first started posting on VOD his summer, but it was higher than it is now, I acknowledge.

What is it that you feel you are seeing that the experts are missing ?
