Quite interesting concept isn't it, new uses crop up with viable large reliable energy storage, I like the way it can facilitate isolated grids, imagine the savings that could generate with the reduction of power infrastructure - subsea cables - pylons etc, and the benefits to energy security too! Yeah that would almost be pension fund stuff in setting something up that risk free and income generating, big big bucks, getting a bit giddy over this one now, must calm down... GLA

If this became cost effective enough, it could be profitable to have installations soaking up cheap energy at 3am and selling it back to the grid at peak times lol, bit like when they pump water uphill at night to drop through hydro turbines at peak times, printing money lol GLA

Doubt it, took a hell of a pounding on qpp, optimistic about Cce though, they're not far from turning a profit too, there're other energy technology shares for firms losing money hand over fist, yet have ten times the market cap of cce, and it's a nice varied market for large scale industrial energy storage, whereabouts in Wales are you from, I live in Liverpool :) GLA

Yeah, the government needs to get smarter with subsidies though, as they've encouraged a load of wasted power generation how they've structured it at the moment, they need to incentivise providing power to the grid when it needs it, if they do this - enter CCE GLA

Good to be here, my only stock that finished up! Lol, I work on building wind farms so can see the potential, and it can be applied to every form of erratic power generation :) massive market, massive benefit... Massive profits? :D GLA

Yeah, they're the ones they've had to replace in the new passenger jet with classic Stone Age lead batteries from a Vauxhall viva because they kept spontaneously combusting, just bought into CCE today, quite hopeful, ironing out the peaks and troughs from renewable power generation is going to be big and profitable business IMHO, from working on construction sites, I bet these things could work wonders for the efficiency of traditional generating sets too GLA

Storing these underground would be a good idea to keep a stable temperature GLA
