With the Jan statement due, the last hour has not been pretty: 9.625 to 9.9p. we need some positive news here. I'm getting so bored..
Just received my settlement for WEN in my share account, so that concludes the business here. Overall, I was fairly happy with my investment, and dividends here but 2023 was a drag for sure (with no divs). So thanks all and esp. Mick.
So pleased (or relieved) to see these move up in this Christmas period. Bid is 10.625. Happy to be back in the black - first time for many months. Fingers crossed for 2024. All the best to everyone here.
Yeah - i remember those - SP did spike on the intra day but was sold into, and then resorted to the 10 - 10.5p baseline.
It's been a frustrating year. I'm not expecting anything big from the AGM.
Maybe not. This looks like its being shorted down to gawd knows where. I nearly bought more earlier, but not feeling it just yet. Pretty disappointing from 20GBP.
RNS today and SP recovery suggests we are game on for the deal by the long stop date, but who is buying all of a sudden at 31p? Not really much of an uplift on the deal payment of 32.5p. A 500k buy earlier too..
This board is generally quiet, but I have been adding on the way down, but didn't expect it to drop to this low. may need to sit tight for a few months, until the final results end of FEB 24. Dividend in March.
Not so. Every buy on the trades came in after 10am. It was upbeat sales pitch on future opportunities & to a neutral you would have thought James M was the CEO. I liked him, but he's more of a salesman than HH.
Just maybe the CFO departure is 1) why the results were published earlier than last year, and 2) why there is a Investor Meeting scheduled on 24th at 5pm to introduce the new interim CFO. I'm feeling confident, and have bought another 50k.
Not the same scenario at IOG. Looks to me like the Bondholders have taken control of the finances, and IOG still owe big. HUR paid off the Bonds last July - in full - and then moved into Profit. The share was never suspended.
You may well be right, but surely the institutional investors hold the key on any vote. We as PIs are only a small fraction of the overall voting rights. We found this out when there was a vote on the M&P deal.
Cutting costs? G&A was 4.5M in that CFO slide pack & don't forget 2 new Execs in Malasia to add to costs...
Well that wasn’t very helpful at all. No mention of any dividend?
Me too. Tried to buy between 09:30 and 10:15 but it was in auction. However the good news for me is that I am back in profit for the first time in a couple of years. Highest I paid was £1.10 and lowest I paid was 19.6p. Ave is 30.6p. Happy days.
Ive been trying to add this morning as it approached 30. This has been in auction since 09:25 so I'm having no luck this today. Seems to be some consistent buying yesterday and today. Something is happening in the background as we move to month end.
The 0.27p was in the Scheme of Arrangement presentation followed by 1.21p in 24, 1.13p in 25 and 0.35p in 26 for Lancaster alone - total 8.98p. On a separate note the OVMK quarterly report Q2 is now on their website. Nothing at all in it about buying up HUR. All focused on THG lol...
Good point. If it being sold internally from one arm of the business to another, then the cost between subsidiary groups can be what ever the group decides. I guess this was what we were all fearful of. The principal, and the lack of transparency. We will just have to wait and see what transpires.
As a reply to myself the cash consideration has now appeared. One day early.
Just an update from ii for the board. My account today has received 2 dividend payments - the transaction dividend and the supplementary dividend, and I still wait for the cash consideration (the small one) & the DCUs. Interesting, because I assumed the delayed one would be the supplementary dividend as it was related to the April pick up, but had been confirmed as good by Maris.
Checking the Scheme of Arrangement its clear that they have until 31 December to get this over the line:
"If the Scheme does not become Effective on or before the Long Stop Date, it will lapse and the
Acquisition will not proceed unless the Company and M&P agree otherwise and, where necessary, the
Court has granted its consent".
