"Added another 500k, bringing their holding up to 22m.
I wonder what way they're gonna vote?"
I would guess they will vote Yes because their investment policy is "value investing" according to their website: there are 3 conditions for investment and the 3rd says "generate annual income" in the form of a dividend or interest.
We will need to wait to read their Q1 2023 report to verify their thinking, but it looks to me that they reckon they will get payback over time.
Thanks for the clarification on Allied Minds. However, as I recall (and I am not a shareholder) before the shares were delisted (and went private) there was an offer of future dividends wasn't there? I'm only highlighting this, as Crystal Ambers objective is a wind up by 2024 and I suppose all these deals including the HUR one, needs to fit with what their winding-up objective is.
Yes indeed, and they also did same at Allied Minds in Dec 2021, and succeeded in removing CEO Bruce Failing. That company has gone private with DCUs come to think of it.
This is optimistic. I see that their investment principle is based on value investing with known dividends. Seems they like the arrangement?
Also we’re invested in WEN due to 7% dividends.
Presumably they will be voting Yes for the future dividends?
"After a lot of due diligence and talking to RB at length I will be accepting the deal. 12.5p rather than 7p/8p max"
We have been over this last week, but you will only ever get a max 8.98p if HUR make no further acquisitions. If they do & you get the 17.5% net revenue (which is a bit of a stretch) you may get 12.5p which is the upper capped maximum.
Sounds like a crap deal. Especially as the share has been delisted. I'd rather it remain listed, and I take my 8.17p which Marris has calculated conservatively, and be allowed to track Brent oil price into 2024.
Good news. This is a dutch investment company who are clearly looking for a quick profit, or are acting on behalf of a client. Seems to have pushed the bid up this morning. Like Senseman said last week, I'm still not certain this will go through. It's not over until its over..
I'm tempted to dump the lot and stick it all on Chariot.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets walked down to 6.02p over next few weeks.
Sense man. Good to have you back in here posting. In answer to your question, and I’m not speaking for others, but my broker (ii) doesn’t know the answer to the DCU Question yet. Does it matter if your units are in a ISA or SIPP. This is a detail really. Most on here are more concerned with the vote, which leads me to the next point: the spreadsheet has progressed well over last 2 days and from the spreadsheet you can see who are the large holders. Some on the sheet have millions of shares, and you probably met them last year at the AGM.
I thought you had sold, only because you have removed your shareholding from the spreadsheet which suggested you had gone to zero.
We have an Anon of 128 Million shares on row 79. I suspect this has to be a mistake? If it isn’t a mistake, then this shareholder has more shares than all of us put together. That’s 5% or thereabouts.
Looking decent - with thanks to all who have contributed. I don't really know if this is going to make any difference to the outcome, but I hope it has a bearing on perhaps a White Knight block.

I hope you are right British. We have surprisingly lost the 2 biggest contributors to the Board.
Senseman & his nemesis Asimple have sold out, along with Haggis who I respected, and GlousterR. Big surprise to me that they bailed so early when perhaps there are more surprises to come.
We now have over 12 Million shares on the spreadsheet - that is over 6% - does that mean we can jointly call an EGM and sack the board?
British Says "given the excel spreadsheet, the ordinary PI's can easily defeat this motion. There is no loss here. The current sp and the money we are going to receive are almost same. No need to sell. Vote against it. This board, aim casino are all pitted against ordinary shareholders as long as they can make their moolah.
The earlier deal by Maris was corrupt, he was in cahoots with the bondholder cartel"
Lets do this - They only have 45% - how are they going to get another 31%? I wonder where the Bondholders are now? In support or not..
You can edit yourselves if you like. I only set the thing up to promote some discussion a few weeks ago. Since then we have lost a few LTHs.
I have checked the sheet, and it appears with 50+ additions to the sheet we are >5%. I was remembering that the good Dr T has got 26M shares, and that's just over what Cigoine Management SA bought yesterday. We need British & mickybhoy (obv. a Celtic fan - lol) to check they have got the correct multiple of 000s in the right place please. Thanks
Its on the PRAX website.
K3VMC - your post is spot on. The price has fallen, and the trades are flying through. It reminds me of what was going on before the High Court saga. The price of the HUR shares were on the floor, but there was someone who was buying - that was when I decided to "risk it for a biscuit" - turned out it was CRS buying a stake down on the floor, but I'm hoping there is more to come so I'm sitting tight for a little longer.
I'm going to wait and see what RB has to say next week, and decide on what to do. I'm really wondering if there is another twist in this tale, to come? I hope so.
Good lucj
