Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I look in here from time to time as an ex-holder. So, when will these guys publish the Final Results to 31 March 2022? Last year the Final Results were late & it was RNs-ed on 13th July 2021. We are now into August?
interim is end-august. Paid mid-September.
Isn't today the day for the Div payment? 29 july. Not got mine a of 10:30am...
Polar opposite to Helge or Katherine Roe of Wentworth - they are always doing interviews.
Makes me quite annoyed. That's probably it until next years AGM.
Interesting conspiracy theory. The part that needs filling in is how do CA exit at a profit during this period? I was thinking CA may just sell to Kerogen directly at a price, then walk away. Kerogen take HUR private.
Brilliant learning as you point out. I could have attended yesterday as it happens and did get a letter of authority from ii on monday but I decided not to travel from oop north east as it would have been a long and expensive day out for what promised to be a potential 1 hour (short) meeting. Assuming I and HUR are still around next June, (?) then I am happy to be involved at next years meeting. It's a long way off though I grant you.
Jeepers - I bet that wiped the smirk off their faces...Well done @Boo80. They may be "useless" but they earn good money for it - nearly £1M /annum between the 2 of 'em.
I hope we or CRS have not been “pineappled”. I think it was NSTIger that asked that.
Great work to sense man and the other hard core for attending today and asking direct questions. I probably should have been there too based on my stake here.
I do tend to agree wit NSTiger that the 20 min presentation was pretty lacklustre, basic, and maybe they still are taking everything for granted?
I still think Maris is taking the proverbial. He’s not a CEO - is he?
I’m not surprised at being disappointed though, as I thought the PIs were in a low minority so probs the BOD dont really care.
Did anyone see or speak to Richard B of CRS? Was he there or absent. I wonder.
Anyway.
Yep. Maris’ salary may be on the low side. However I agree the BOD here never hold investor meetings. So after tomorrow don’t expect much comms. Over at Longboat HH is paid about the same, but perhaps next year our BOD will be getting a raise, or share options. Just you wait!
You send a message to your Broker with the details of the stock and date of AGM and they send you a electronic pass by email. I'm with ii & have already asked the question a few weeks ago. However, I didn't follow up as I can't make London this week. Shame.
Really good set of Questions, but I'm sure the first one will not be addressed as to the BOD they have closed this issue out.
You know what my main frustration is with the HUR board? It's the fact that they don't talk to shareholders except once per year. You will need to remind me when they last had an Investor Presentation/Update call. So, the AGM is the biggy. Wish I was going TBH - good luck all !
Just double checked my HUR spreadsheet but note that exactly 1 year ago (23 june 21) the SP was 1.6879p.
happy anniversary. I like a number of others on here got good information from the CRS quarterly updates from Richard B. That was signalling the mood music at the time. CRS no longer publish these I'm afraid.
hey haggis trap,
Good to have you back in again. I remember you from the first time around, as I also lost out on way down (having first bought in in 2014 I have to add). I took time out but got back in last May before the court case & bought low, and have averaged up to 5.something now.
Just watched the Longboat AGM and noted a few questions about Operational buy-outs and the excuse that they are all very expensive at this time. Nick & Helge also mentioned that there had been no mergers or acquisitions this year in Norway or NS, but it could be entirely possible for LBE to reverse into HUR - what do you think? (Longboat MCAP is only very low at this time). All to play for..
Good question. I personally doubt it very much as UK upstream O&G is no longer in the companies future strategy. BP are focusing on new “green” agenda as rolled out by CEO looney.
According to the league table of upstream UK Independent oil and gas companies, we have about 25 companies working in UK waters and the largest is Harbour Energy used to be Premier, then there is Enquest etc.
Kistos is an interesting success story, and down the bottom of the list there is Parkmead Group.
It all depends on whether a deal is a direct TO or perhaps a reverse TO, or take independent. Who knows eh? I’m certain it won’t be Bp though.
In a parallel universe, where everything is Theoretical:
I will be inclined to vote as follows:
FOR - Resolutions 2,4,5,6,7. That is , for the Auditors + 4 CA nominated, supported or appointed NEDs. Based on fact.
AGAINST 1,3 8 and 9.
Your right. It's in auction - 7.4p.....
I thought the general discussion on AGM proposals was one of the most interesting and important threads we have had recently. I'm quite disappointed that someone had it pulled, if that's the case. It actually had some thought provoking points of opinion, and I don't think there was much confidential about it. It was more like a general discussion. IMO
3 months ago HUR and CHAR were on level pegging at 9-11p, & I considered at the time to “split” between the 2 and spread my risk equally. Over there, they have no revenue, but a couple of new projects announced, (gas) a placing, and the CEO has now bought 2M shares at 18p. Sentiment seems to be behind them. We need to catch them up!
I saw that 300k go through. I bought another 20,659 just to be visible at 11:26. I’m in very deep here but my average is still 5.2p. I must be mad, (and skint)
