There isn’t a disagreement. You didn't understand what a 3D seismic model was, what it would be used for, how it would have been achieved and when it would be achieved.

The first intention of Kurt was more drilling to fully understand all the old data. This has been in the company literature in the last two years. You didn’t seem to know this when I pointed out that a company priority was to carry out drilling to fully reveal the deposit.

Of course the SP will rise if the concession is granted. However, I’m sure that a lot of people will be trying to sell. At the new full price a buyer will need a new reason beyond just the concession (which would by then baked in). Nothing Kurt can do immediately afterwards apart from give some positive words. I would be surprised if doesn’t tap shareholders for some money within a few months / weeks, as they are going to need it.

So unless big investors take a position quickly after the concession, I’m not sure how much dramatic the jump will be from the pre-decision price and how well it would be sustained. They don’t get the concession and single digits within the day.

So news of a big investor is the real hope in my opinion. Talk of developing the mine further (the much required seismic model from drilling etc) is nice but won’t necessarily be enough to push the SP further.

Totally legal and normal for share that is in the strange position that BEM finds itself in. It isn't normal in the sense of general share trading.

Nothing underhand or conspiratorial and it doesn’t reflect badly on BEM as a company per se. It just reflects the situation the company has been put in - it is trading against a critical political decision that is surrounded by unpredictability. The market maker cannot be left holding any shares immediately post decision because the move will be so dramatic and trading so sticky that they will get wiped out.

There isn’t an exact sequence when everything is off book. They are allowed to make delayed publications. There was a trade for £20,900 @ 19 pence (15:30). The next trade can then quite easily be 17 pence or 17.5 pence. There are too few buyers and sellers and there is a big announcement on its way. There is no way that any market maker is going to hold BEM shares on a book. So people are being matched up off book. If you want £20,000 then you can be matched up at 19 pence.

The bid/offer are both the price. For BEM that means large trough and peak trading patterns (the spread is typically 5% to 10%). So the SP is climbing, but through trading between a very small number of buyers and sellers.

It will be essentially impossible for the vast majority of people to get out at a price that isn't massively less than the current price. But that is a given. Anybody who doesn’t want to take that risk will presumably be banking profits as they go.

Trading is a complete mess. Everything is off book, relatively small trades fulfil delayed publication criteria. The market makers obviously don’t want to hold anything. We have to hope that much bigger investors will get involved following a positive decision or this is going to be very difficult to get out of quickly.

Wrong again. There is no counter party that can force him right now to give an exact date for this decision - which was the point being answered - not whether there were pro-mining counter parties. Do you have problem with comprehension? Reading problems? Visual impairment? Genuine question. You constantly fail to read what other people posted and then post a response to a point nobody every made.

I don’t think a politician paints himself into a corner by making contradictory statements about the virtue of one thing or another. Quite the opposite, telling each group exactly what they want to hear in very superficial terms has always allowed politicians to paints themselves out of any corner.

And moving from making decisions whenever you please to a system of exact dates is a huge step for Swedish politicians involved in mining decisions. Why would you voluntarily apply that pressure to yourself when you are free to behave in a way that suits you?

Why would he unnecessarily allow himself to be hoist by his own petard? There is no pro-mining counter party that has any power to bear to force him into that position. BEM will wait as long as they decide and if they don’t like it - tough. That is how the business of mining is done in Sweden. If they grant the concession, this same attitude will pervade all the other subsequent decisions that will be required to get a mine into operation.

There are intentions from politicians gleaned from small investors scanning Swedish news sites via Google translate. That is the absurdity of the position BEM has found itself in.

The political system in Sweden actively works to damage small mining companies attempts to build investable businesses to such an extent they are at the whim of market forces driven by the (admirable) work of amateur Google sleuths. Shameful, if not at least comical.

Quite simple, to establish a 3D seismic model which would be transformative for a small company like BEM. If a model could be established, the signal to noise ratio of all old BEM data would be massively increased. This would reveal the true stratigraphic and structural nature of the complex.

So a relatively small drilling campaign would leverage all previous data. Something that would be transformative in a presentation to a potential JV.

My guess is that there will be a fundraise relatively soon after a concession. And I don’t think it should be assumed that there would be immediate interest from outside parties. It is possible serious investment interest might only follow more revealing drill results etc. That is something to consider when thinking about profit taking. Anybody who is looking at realising more value will need to be thinking many years ahead.

The mess that is the Swedish system of permitting is not only damaging for the companies involved but also the general investment environment. Potential JVs can be made more difficult when large investors see unreliability and uncertainty within systems they are looking to invest in.

This is the dichotomy in iron ore mining in Sweden. They have great mining infrastructure. Great technical expertise. World leading innovation - LKABs hydrogen-reduced sponge iron pilot produced amazing results. However, they have one of the most unreliable and risky investment environments in terms of the permitting process.

An almost sardonic tone from somebody who seemingly doesn’t believe a word that comes out of a Swedish politicians mouth.

He well knows they might be leading him up a garden path: appearing positive about mines so to cover for claims of bias if they decline the concession. The only chance BEM has is the law and he seems well aware of that. Mood music from a politician doesn’t cut it.

BEM isn’t on the radar of U.K. investors and there hasn’t been any reason for it to be. It is a mining company that has been stuck in bureaucratic limbo for years. During these years the market has offered low hanging fruit to double your money with very little risk - so why tie your money up in an obscure company like BEM?

Politically, most British people couldn’t even name most of the people in the current U.K. cabinet. Their knowledge of political affairs is minuscule. This includes your average AIM investor. So the likelihood of them following political movements of Swedish ministers and related political affairs in order to make investments - is zero. Current U.K. investors have to spend their time translating Swedish news articles in order to infer even the most trivial sign of decision making.

Of course, Swedish investors will see the politics that will ultimately influence BEM everyday in their newspapers, on radio / TV and mining is a big part of the Swedish economy anyway. So it follows that they are much more likely to have investors that are willing to follow (and take a bet on) the political situation BEM finds itself entangled in.

I have repeatedly pointed out that this is a huge problem for Kurt, even following a positive decision. If being a U.K. investor involves Google translating Swedish news articles in order to find out information on the prospects of your company, you are in big trouble. It isn’t his fault per se, but it is his challenge to sort out.

It is unfortunate because BEM isn’t your typical AIM idiots punt. There is at least a chance of a serious company n the future. However, people like you clog up the forum with posts in the ‘AIM idiots punt’ style.

Every time you post you further demonstrate how little you know about anything related to shares. You are that annoying guy with a sales patter who cold calls you or tries to corner you in the street to sign up to something.

It has nothing to do with a willingness to do something at any cost, it is all about being allowed to do something according to laws which say you can. The law stands above all interested parties. This is the true disgrace of the situation - the law has not been followed.

There are a number of countries in Europe that are famed for their rule of law. The UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden being amongst them. This shouldn’t be happening in a country like Sweden. But this is where so many people find themselves in their own country. The law constantly being sidelined by the combination of privileged activist groups and weak politicians.

If they can deny BEM on a fair legal basis there can be no complaints. But they haven't operated on a legal basis, that is the whole point of this matter.
