It just needs the EU to actually step up. Lots of discussions on critical minerals. Now it is time to be decisive and get the check book out and really back sonething. China does it and that is why they are succesful.

If u really want secure supply you might have to pay for it...even if Rare earth prices are low.

To answer a comment here. I did ask about the new shareholders when talking to MB. He said he was very happy with the new shareholders, many were experienced and had long term horizons.

We are all investors with a common goal. I checked x and saw a message that people are going nuts over. I had a position months back but just sharing info.

On the share price drifting, it is a personal view. Very happy it it shoots up but i think until claim is formalised it wont.

The most interrsting thing will be to know how far engagement went.

Reality is settling now for india is pointless. Why pay x now and fund it. Wait 3 yrs, the saved interest will pay for the lawyer and more. You also then have a mine up and running with royalties coming in. Much easier sell politically

I know MB knows the senior lawyer at faskens well. Probably from his past roles in canada

I am keeping myself to around 1 to 1.2 billion and hoping for some upside surprise.

A similar deposit degrey on asx is 1.4bn gbp at moment. The auction might be used as a valuation point, but i am just saying other techniques like looking at value of listed peers could be used and these would not be circa 5bn

Even if it is 1bn it still looks cheap today do somewhat irrelevant

Big thing here is queensland power. Up to 1bn aud class action. Think we are on circa 25pct!

I expect it to drift, if it spikes it might just fall back.

Big thing will be claim size. That is when the company can really hit the PR and talk freely

Until then it is we have something big, but we cannot tell you.

Honestly, i think the auction really screws them.

1. Confirms they took asset

2. The silly argument given in past that permit was not free and available is blown. They sold to highest bidder without regard for who they were.

3. The governemnt has now directly benefited from actions. One thing to give it to your mate and still collect corporate tax. Getting extra cash for yourself...mmh. that must open up all kind of legal arguments.

I think the key is the date to the hearing. That is when people get excited and they start banging on in the press about the claim amount.

I think maybe 2.5 yrs for that and then decision takes a other year. But who cares really.

Once the claim amount is out in say 6m we will be derisked ;)

Did u pick up on MB misquote in interviews.

TOI has quoted 1bn usd plus. He has misquoted as them saying 1.2bn in vsa video, stating he did not disagree.

So i think 1.2bn+. With accrued interest and that auction result i guess 1.5bn claim.

Most likely india is waiting. These payments of 120m and initial royalties will.finance any settlement.

No point settling now and having to explain why someone needs to cough up cash upfront from a gov budget

From what i understand it is more of a committee type approach.

Lcm do not have final say. I also infer that the lawyers have what they need ( as NOA) it is good to go.

Seems more like MB in control of the release to me.
