Everyman SP 1 year up 36.5%
Cineworld SP 1 year up 31.48%

Seems similar to me.

Crumpets sure we could stretch the definition of "hat" something that can cover all or part of your head.
Why not just eat a massive crumpet with all your favourite toppings.

Fingers crossed for something positive in news front to turn us back around, been a depressing watch last few months for sure.

Had a quick read through this morning's posts, not sure there has been any gang mentality or attacks on people.
Someone posts something which includes fairly big predictions.
Some others view that as unlikely with what information they see before them.
Possibly thinking you know something others don't they ask regards your reasoning.
You then state things others already know off as has the whole market.
I don't think anyone got personal or "attacked" anyone.
Some expressed differing view and why.
Surely it's ok to have differing views, otherwise that may well seem like a dictatorship!?

Hopefully everyone feels comfortable to post their views, but equally to have those views challenged in a reasonable manner.

No name calling, no personal insults or attacks.
Just reasonable adult discussion/debate.

People going back to cinema was never really in question. How quickly and to what level is the question.
The answer at this exact point in time is not enough yet.
We are "hoping" it will rise further and at reasonable pace.
We don't yet know and the SP reflects this and other uncertainties.
All IMHO (except the numbers parts of statement, these can all be seen clearly from site such as Box Office Mojo).

We can only hope they are as "accurate" as our forecasters here.

As Cruis rightly says the markets as you would expect normally react to strong over or under expectations/performance.
These numbers are around the lower end of expectations range.
Solid shows recovery is moving along, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Look back at the top Box office openings and we can all see that.
Cineworld doesn't benefit from Disney + revenues or revenues in parts of world we have no presence.

SP up or down tomorrow or any day is difficult to pin on a single factor (as there are always a number of factors in play).

I will be honest, I rarely if ever look for any deeper meanings behind films I go to see..
Simple fun and escapism usually works for me.
Marvel usually ticks those boxes (as does plenty others I have seen since getting an unlimited card).

What does the chart say for long-term, as that's the only thing that really matters for most here that are long-term holders?

Fuel prices like that you could have a tank as your daily driver.

It's getting some mixed reviews, but there is a strong faithful for these been built.
I find them entertaining fun. :-)

Ach things happen in life and business, other than seeing same trailers back to back it was no great drama.
Most seemed ok by it, was couple moaning minis (including a fellow unlimited card holder had check to ask if getting anything for it when girl said people could have refund or go to another screening).
Felt a bit sorry for the girls trying to get stuff sorted. It's one of the problems with business model in retail and likes of Cineworld.
Low rates of pay, lots of pretty inexperienced young people working there.
Bit more experience or a manager covering the issue they should have been on front foot and say offered free popcorn and drink to all for the minor inconvenience.
These cost near nothing to company and in return it would have had happy kids/parents etc concentrate on the "freebie" rather than not seeing their treat movie.

Small stuff though really.

Bonkers from the financial information we have already been given I would hope/expect the company has not added further debt.
I do expect it will have less liquidity than it had in last update, using some of its cash and potentially part/more of loans/revolving credit facilities.

It will be in the possession of c. 6weeks accounts post 1st half and as you rightly say this and further forward statement will be VERY important.
