Realise that most of us hold little regard for the articles from various at Motley Fool, however I found below quote from latest piece worthy of note.

"Perhaps most importantly, there’s also been speculation in recent weeks that Cineworld will negotiate a deal with Canadian rival Cineplex over the former’s aborted deal to buy the latter. Agreeing to lower damages would actually be in Cineplex’s best interests. This is because it would receive very little (if anything) in the event of the business going bust. Avoiding bankruptcy would probably do no harm to the Cineworld share price either."

The key now is surely "winning" Cineplex appeal!?
Don't get a massive turn around on that then it looks grim.

"Win" appeal then I still see reason for hope.
Had my time again would have at very least cashed some of holding at around the £1:24.
Had it not been for my partial cash out at c. 71p a short time earlier then I definitely would have.

Didn't get along to local tonight, will ask staff tomorrow. However I was able to book pretty much any time I wanted and ultimately it matters not right now.
Think most/all LTH are of firm belief the Cinematic industry is/will recover.
We have Cineplex appeal far more important right now.
Then waivers to June covenant.

Then on a potential positive (limited downside)
claims against our insurers.

We will "sea" squid. Packet of fags not an essential, but the poorer keep up their intake.

Welcome to see increase in holdings, but dangerous to read too much into some of these.
Worth noting their last movement was a reduction in holdings.
None of us know if they have been loaning some/all of their holdings to shorters for example.

On balance happy to see RNS and some recovery in SP.
Been around here last couple months though.

One of several fantasist we have endured, unfortunately yes still remember him.
Also remember his last fantasy when plunged into VLS at c . double current price .

If never encounter him again it will be too soon.

Maybe that's another reflection of the difference between yourself and myself and some others.

Money and making more of it is not above all else in life for me.

I would personally rather see no innocent lives lost to unjust war than make a couple quid.

Can book into any movie I want and any screening time for Saturday at my local.
Means nothing I'm reality though. It is the whole picture that matters, and none of us know how successful or will prove.
Good initiative though, I have been saying for some time Cineworld should either have permanently lower prices or at least number of days/times per week.
We all know the real profits are in concessions so better with 100 people paying £5 for movie and even 1/3 of them spending on concessions.
Rather than say 15-25 at £10-£15 a movie and similar percentages buying concessions.

My nearest Vue is I think £5.

As others have said SP is of such little importance compared to what's happening around world.
Thoughts to all that have real issues to worry about.

Now, if rather than panic selling Cineworld at c.70% loss and jumping into an even higher risk stock such as XRP you could have held and currently be down less than you are. With probably more hope of recovering losses.

Maybe ease off trying to teach us all how wrong we are and sort your own strategy first.

20 YEARS LEASE

We have (largely speaking) been given fair indicators of what to expect from next month's FY accounts with both company and BO. MOJO giving percentages of box office levels.

So far this year has been awful, that's what to expect when we still don't have volume of releases and for January and February effectively ZERO "BIG" releases. Uncharted will take some decent money, but it's still not "HUGE".
By end Q1 we will have had ONE (hopefully) massive release in The Batman.

Contrast this with Q2 where we will have:
Morbius April 1st
Sonic April 8th
Fantastic Beasts April 15th
The Bad Guys April 22nd

Dr Strange May 6th
DC League of Super Pets May 20th
Downtown Abby May 20th
Top Gun May 27th

Jurassic World June 10th
Lightyear June 17th
The Black Phone and Elvis Presley both June 24th

For H1 results we will already have forward knowledge of July (and beyond)
July has: Minions 1st July
Thor 8th
Black Adam 29th

There are other movies and some as yet untitled releases.

Not saying everyone will be a huge success, BUT some/many likely will and we at least have the numbers game starting to kick in again.
Had we say even one of these in each month so far this year box office would have been MUCH more favourable.

Just been busier of late and not a lot to discuss of note really.

Think it may not be this set of results, but next one's for H1 2022 that will REALLY give us lots to enjoy and talk about.

Hardly anyone, possibly nobody paid c. £2 a share here. So NO we have not ignored COVID when buying this share.
When prices move c. 1 percentage point it is hardly 'a bloodbath" or any market move worrh discussion.

We can all still see the largest lemon in the room. The biterness of your personal investment errors is overwhelming.

No break fee as I previously said , is at least now clear for all.
Break fees

The contract did not contain a break fee, which may otherwise have required Cineworld to pay a pre-negotiated termination payment to walk away.

Break fees are routine in M&A transactions. Indeed, Cineworld’s largest shareholders thought, mistakenly, that there was a $30 million break fee.8

Although the parties have not raised this point, it raises an interesting question concerning the scope of damages awards in contracts without break fees, and what significance, if any, industry practice of using commercially reasonable break fees might have on determining expectation damages.
