Tell us all what percentage of FTSE 250 companies have "gone bankrupt" or had debt for equity fully wiping out their shareholders in say the last 10 years.
How about how many in debt multi billion turnover companies have had similar fate in that period.
This can give everyone a balanced outlook on the probability of such claims you and ShorterChild make.
Picking and sticking to naming ONE company so far only goes to serve as confidence it is HIGHLY unlikely outcome.

Thought I agree generally with your sentiment that Cineworld worked as a business pre covid and will return to being a viable profitable business in the future.

I think we can all take it as read that Wonder Woman is now being delayed.
It "might" have a short cinematic Christmas release alongside/followed by HBO streaming.
However with less than six weeks to this date now it is most likely a delay to summer.
On balance no bad thing in circumstances.

I do not have level 2 info so only catch some trades when I look on here and see totals on couple other sites.
At c. 21m total trades that's only 1.5% of all shares so let's keep perspective.
All that said we are starting to shape up to ever more likely positives.
In last 10 days we have discovered a vaccine can help with covid.
That it can be far more effective than most would have ever dreamed.
That it has come earlier than most predicted.
There are more than one vaccines effective.
These being confirmed makes others FAR more likely (near certain) to also be effective and announced soon.
We know UK news has bigger impact than it arguably should and that Oxford vaccine is almost certain to be announced positively within the next couple weeks and is ready for speedy roll out on that announcement.
A number of other medical interventions are now here and effective at helping the fight with this virus.
An actual path out of revolving lockdowns and limits to life is here now and becoming ever clearer and imminent.
This gives confidence and certainty to the markets, Cineworld board, the studios and the lenders.
This in turn makes negotiations far more likely to be settled in a favourable manner (though we must remain open to other outcome possibilities).
I still feel the sensible thing is for final decision and announcement on waivers is to be near to December 31st.
This gives time to see what support from governments can be accessed and probably have vaccines rolling out or VERY near.
GLA short or long I have no desire to see harm to anyone.

It only makes perfect sense for Mooky, board of directors and lenders to delay these talks as late as possible.
It would obviously be better for Cineworld of they had clarity on what if any finds they can access and how much from government or other sources at lower or zero rates than look to add higher rate debts.
As last 10 days have shown time is super valuable more now than ever.
Imagine the situation four weeks from now :
More vaccines shown to be highly effective, some of these rolling out to distribution and dose first of population.
USA stimulus package clear and same with what UK government offering businesses in form of support.
Could easily save the company hundreds of millions of added debt by delaying a month.
There could very well be a couple of options already agreed in principle awaiting these outcomes as to which way to then follow.

Probably nobody here is surprised that many that are long on Cineworld have stated their position in an open and Frank manner

Read into the integrity of individuals from that as you choose.

Some chunky trades there especially in Cineworld recent trading terms.
Building towards very interesting times in this share again.
The next and possibly biggest one yet (waivers to come later) will hopefully be announced in coming days week or two.
That being a successful Oxford/astrazenica vaccine.
FTSE shares often disproportionately influenced by UK factors .
This vaccine being easiest to store and transport and largest pre order and ready to roll out almost instantly will mean a lot.

When was this share price £7?, or is this like your interest on debts info?
When that random in the street said to you "No sh*t Sherlock" they weren't saying how smart you were.

Great way of learning is reading. Great way of learning more about a company and investing is looking at their financial records.
Go look at their accounts and read the associated notes.
Seeking spoonfeeding from unknown sources on a chat board will serve zero value for you.

Drifty there always has to be a first. However I personally do not believe that will be Cineworld.
The more likely worst case for current holders is dilution as that is certainly a possible outcome.
Only those round the negotiating table truly know though.
It would appear according to the latest accounts we have and from latest Mooky interview we have that liquidity is NOT the short term problem .Now they may well look to secure further funds during these talks, however the main issue is securing waivers for December 2020 and June 2021.
Alongside doing this it only makes sense to look at the current structure of debts and look to restructure them in a way that gives longer visibility which may or may not require additional funds.

There is NOT 8b loaned money to pay interest on!!
