Let's be honest and open here.
The credit committee are HIGHLY likely to agree to the additional debt as it's almost certainly the best option currently.
The CVA "IF" used in this instance is backed with already having secured enough finances by above move SP is more likely than not to not include shareholder dilution.

Like a 95% effective vaccine is more than enough for people to be happy to go back to regular life.
Risk management . Many far higher risks in life .

So would it be fair to summarise as follows:
Two additional funding options on the table which will secure business safely into re opening profitably.
Along with "possibility" of CVA in UK as way of closing some non profitable/less profitable units and reduce rents at others (if passed by enough of creditors)
These measures mean no immediate Rights Issues, No "Bankruptcy", No dilution to shareholders.
Company will take bit longer to become as profitable due to additional debt and financing but not a problem for Long holders.

At close today the SP is still UP on the week and up circa 50% on two weeks ago.
Today's article was much like couple of previous press articles in that it was speculative and largely selecting part information.
Seems Oxford vaccine news may not be as soon as many thought so next big news could just as easily now be from the debt negotiations talks.
Until then who knows.

With most long holders in at around 50p average or below and you with a 30p short the closest to the fire is definitely you ShortestChild

I had job on today so pressed for time.
Tried to sell half my holding at open to hedge my bets somewhat with thoughts there would be an opportunity to get back in much lower.
It didn't go through as said order outside range, didn't have time to call the order etc.
So in hindsight missed c. 50p sale with buy back in 40 - 45p range.
I can live with it.
Main focus is long holder, any day trading is very much secondary.
Nobody gets every one right no matter what some say to the contrary.

The "report" says CONSIDERING, not have not finalised, not definitely.
Off course they are considering a CVA as they should and will be CONSIDERING all options.
Frustrating how any press release with negative connotations can really tank this share yet it takes Factual news like vaccine to do same in positive manner.
Guess this is where company is in current climate so we have to accept it until better times.

Ah Dec 25 in USA and Dec 16 around world wherever there is no HBO.
High likelihood UK will still be effectively in lockdown at this point or at least no hospitality/cinema/gyms etc allowed open.
Confirms WB commitment to cinema as much as possible though.
Makes sense in balance I feel to release a two pronged approach at this time.
Further delays runs its own risks and costs. While they clearly don't want a move for blockbuster movies to streaming only.

Reports I read still say December 25th, not 16th.
Cineworld currently shut and have a stance of not opening without a stream of blockbusters (only WW for this year and first month or two next year must cast doubt on it being something that directly helps us and Cine)
Where also would this fit with the firm stance Mooky holds regards requiring the "traditional" theatre only window..
Good Warner are still looking to support the BIG screen as much as possible, but wait to see if of any actual benefit to Cineworld this time.

I try to be balanced and remove emotion from investment and chat on this BB.
Realistic rather than doom and gloom or over optimistic.
Let's be honest Warp Speed is a US thing and the sh*t show of Trump stepping aside for Biden still needs resolved. Getting enough of the vaccine to enough of the population with enough of them accepting it and the time between first and second vaccine plus all the issues of storage and distribution of the Pfizer vaccine mean anyone saying this will 100% be done and inatter of month or two are just not being honest with themselves or not understanding the whole picture.
Cineworld also requires to negotiate current debt waivers and talks with lenders. That can have a number of combinations as a result. Ruling any out is not sensible.
Then there is the need for studios to remain committed to Theatres and to commit to large continued roll out of their product.
NONE of this is guaranteed right now (if it was the SP would already be in the £1 - £2 range).
48p confirms we have at this precise moment in time a number of uncertainties.
Many of us may not like that, but it is pure and simply the facts of where we are.
If cinemas are full and raking in the big money on a regular basis by March and the Western world in particular USA and UK ( for Cineworld sake) is almost entirely vaccinated and we have no restrictions with SP already at £1.50 or more and Cineworld have sound financial footing with Debt waivers and no requirement to dilute or wipe out shareholders then I will be DELIGHTED and more than happy to concede things moved far better than I expected !
I have nothing to gain from being down on this share that's for sure.
As I have previously stated I am Long at c.50p and committed large sum for me in this stock.

A billion plus loss will not even with a better than ever year be recovered "quickly".
There is a case to be made for a strong recovery, however we are all some way from that yet.
Hard facts are most of western world are in lockdowns/restrictions or facing them.
Covid is still and will continue to be major issue to people and business around the world.
Yes we have news of vaccines, BUT they are not fully passed all requirements yet and many still to be produced then distributed and mass vaccination like never seen before to be rolled out.
To assume this is all going to happen quickly and without issue would be nieve.
There is obviously massive uncertainty over covenant waivers for December, June and possibly even next December.
The liquidity of the company is unknown, press saying weeks or CEO saying we do not have financial troubles are equally of little value.
We just don't know!!
Some are optimistic some pessimistic, but the reality is we do NOT KNOW.
Hurdles still there before it's a clear path to £1.50 or such.
As much as I wish it was otherwise and £1.50 was a given it just isn't (yet)

This is a pretty old piece and been discussed before.
Worth noting the dates of the ratings.
Most recent forecast targets somewhat lower than the 205.
Cineworld still worth a punt on balance I feel, but it is not at the point where most of these broker forecasts were made.
