First thing is get the next electromagnetic survey info back and sink drills and how the data /methods they have tried is accurate and his or bodies. After a discovery as has been said the market cap will be much much higher. Depends on what they find. Waiting game really. Anyone invested now will do very well if they got anything interesting with the drill (s)

I get your point FKC. You'd have to put it to the company but IMV I'd suggest that if the JV hit a major discovery and make the KCB asset worth a decent chunk of change then this will still be reflected in the value of the newly listed company, and so we still become rich.
It also to a degree de-risks that project from the associated and potentially higher risk KSZ project. For example having the KCB JV listed independently you'd like to think if the KSZ drills hit naff all on initial targets, then the market over reaction wont also wipe the attributed value of the KCB project to smithereens.
It all links back to greater separation and transparency of each project. For the reasons above and beyond e.g. easier if majors want in on the KCB as its already separated etc etc. Yes there will be some additional administrative and listing costs but overall I support this approach, for the reasons I perceive and others (such as those above).
Just my view.

FKC the benefit of spinning out the JV is that its easier to attribute a value to the JV owners. Its more 'transparent', well thats the theory :)

@shareseeker - re your comment above... That's always been an odd question to me. To be honest if anyone answered it i'm not sure it gives any value. How do you value a company like KAV at this stage.. , with all the assumptions.

Also sadly the markets don't attribute any consistent formula especially for exploration companies. Some way over valued, some way undervalued. As much reputation and sentiment driven than data and logic driven.

No one can reliably or meaningfully answer that sort of question ATM. In all honesty.

If KAV can prove the assets they think they have, anything near Norilsk style then you'd need a big calculator to fit the equation into it.
In all probability they'd have a lot of interest from majors for either a complete buyout or JV.
The reward multiples could be ridiculous from this market cap.
It's defo a hot post code to be in, the right commodity, exploration seems to be supporting the geological hypothesis ATM and so I've got a fair position here. It'll be an interesting journey.

I agree I don't go in for the conspiracy theory of mass manipulation etc etc.
Markets are not logical, the supply and demand for a share determines the stock price. The market
participants are the arbitrator of a companies value. Market makers may adjust prices but only typically in the direction of sentiment and ultimately I'm sure they make a decent profit but only if people buy and sell at those prices.
As for DJ etc it's his call IMO. If anyone invests blindly based on the comments of anyone else then in all probability they will lose money. At times like this when the price retraces, if you invest on the research and enthusiasm of someone else, you'll never be able to have the confidence to know what you should or shouldn't do. Gaining the knowledge for yourself is the only way to empower your own decision making, and be able to really interpret and assess news specific to the company and its market more generally.
These boards can offer great insight, and also lots of bs. Use it to steer your own research, but not as your form of research.
I'm personally still in profit but am down a large amount of profit from the peak share price. However I'm still more than comfortable with the reason I invested and over the timeframe I invested.
I absolutely believe the company will thrive over the next 12-18 months from this level. That said clearly risks are present, as they are in all things.

Good posts today and food for thought. I think we all agree the 4 most prospective areas. Beyond that in terms of if they contain the missing copper, less, or even more no one knows. Same as the deal with AA. It could come in any and all shapes and sizes, or again not at all.
I don't think any of us are far out and I think subject to AA being willing to meet NvS requirements a deal should happen.
