The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
So, presumably, Mr Attlee as Chief Investment officer bore no responsibility for the failures that resulted in the replacement of the Chief Finance Officer and the resultant loss of shareholder value.
HL re-invest divi today, so some very small comfort.
I hope this is an indication of increased confidence based on improved sales. Time will tell.
Conceded! However, this is AIM where “ anticipated “ has little meaning!
I haven’t found anything anywhere that says results are due today, though the day is still young!
Very likely people buying back in prior to going ex div soon.
Yes, okay apart from the divi being nearly halved.
Prior to Dec 2015 , I don't recall my dividend being taxed , but the payment now seems to be deemed as an overseas dividend payment and accrues South African tax at 15%. I don't think there is anything you can do if shares held in nominee account. If directly held, you may be able to reclaim the 5% (I think) difference. There was information given in an rns around the time divi was announced.
Last year went ex div on 10/12 and paid 24/12. you can find it above on PAF financial Diary and clicking on the appropriate year tab.
Dividend paid December.
Further to my previous post, and following the RNS of 19/01 re withholding tax and uk shareholders, I contacted HL again re the situation for nominee holders. I received the following reply. 'The declaration form can only be completed by the named holder of the stock, which in this case is Hargreaves Lansdown. Unfortunately due to your holding being a part of a larger pooled nominee holding we are unable to segregate individual client holdings for the purpose of claiming reduced tax rates.' You may however be able to claim the excess tax directly from the South African tax authorities and we can provide you with a tax voucher for your dividend to support your claim. We have no experience of dealing with the South African tax authority and cannot guarantee that your claim will be successful. I trust this to be in order. If you have any further queries regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards,
The exchange rate did have a marginal effect on the final payment. HL did give me the following web page ref ( not a link. They didn't explain why previous dividends had been paid without tax deducted. http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail/PAF/12602518.html
Not such a big present as expected. HL have deducted 15% SA dividend tax . Hasn't happened before. Has never shown as an overseas payment before either.
Tipped in this week's Investors Chronicle. Hence the tick up.
Further to previous post, the website is back up. I emailed on Friday outlining concerns expressed at previous post, but have not received a reply.( second time they have failed to respond). However, today we get the rns confirming first tranche of share buyback! It's only taken 5 months!!
Does this company hibernate for the winter? There appears to have been no activity since the agm/egm. There appears to have been no indication that the proposed share buy back has been enacted, and their website appears to be unavailable.
Interim results usually announced mid Feb.
Yes, a very welcome Christmas present. It's been a rough ride with my aim shares this year, so this banker is most welcome!
Last 2 years has been towards end of August.
No.I still haven't received a reply! At least we've received the RNS now which is quite comprehensive .
