Hi Gavster. Re the comparison withPUR, remember PUR has approx 384 million shares in issue whereas PAF has 1.93 billion.
Bought in yesterday, having sold out of HGM. Seemed little point in seeking another divi paying gold miner given the current high share prices. PUR seems to be pretty much de-risked now with more scope for increase in share price irrespective of changes in market sentiment.
Directors showing faith by buying shares.
I guess the rationale for taking the shares was to do with the dilution created by issuing more shares. Personally, I don’t see the logic when, as you say, the shares could be bought for less in the market.
As things stand, there doesn’t seem to be any point in taking up the share offer.
I guess it’ll be another 6 weeks before we get a trading update.
Think Tulloch drew the short straw. Andy Briggs has landed top job at PHNX.
No. Premier and Miton have just merged. Existing holding .
In their former incarnation, OVG, the company received a substantial number of Polymetal shares in lieu of payment for a deal. With the recent increase in the price of gold the Poly shares have risen in value, possibly contributing in part for the upsurge in OVB share price.
That would certainly be most welcome. In the meantime, the increasing dividend is a reason to hold.
I guess it’s a combination of caution due to previous management failures and concern re numbers of foreign students post Brexit.
Tick up following updated recommendation in MOS yesterday.
If you click on the ‘Lloy Fundamentals ‘tab above you will find total divi for last few years. On HL, enter lloy in search box and then click on ‘dividends’ where you’ll find interim and final divi information for last few years.
Sorry to see Andy Briggs go, though pretty inevitable after failing to secure top job. He secured excellent shareholder value at FP/Resolution which is more than can be said of Mr Wilson. It’s hard to see someone like Mr Tulloch, being so entrenched in the Aviva establishment, succeeding where others have failed. I do so hope I’m wrong.
One would hope so. Probably won’t know until the autumn.
Probably in the first three weeks of April if previous years are anything to go by. Last year was19th, previous two years end of 1st week.
Own question answered! Nice dividend and good debt reduction. Seems positive.
Can we expect a trading update next week? Was on 22nd Jan last year.
Just about says it all. Proposal to de-list announced on 19th December, and not a single posting here! What a pile of excrement this has turned out to be.
There is no dividend this year due to the decommissioning cost of the Evander mine.
