Who would have believed it....a major card data breach and the SP is hardly impacted

Was fortunate to buy in early and get out and then buy back in again on inter-day dip just above my original buy price and then get back out at SP higher than original get out price.

Shows what confidence investors have in IAG - a card data breach in another airline would have crashed the SP between 5-10%.

The card data breach news has had minimal impact on the SP.

Will be interesting to see what the actual financial cost of the card data breach will be (apart from reputational damage). It could well be a few months before the total cost of customer losses is determined (actual loses + compensation) . Could well be a big financial hit. All depends on the fraudulent card transactions processed between time of hack and BA fixing the security issues. If the overall number is big then the SP will be hit once the figure is announced.

IAG is only circa 70p off it's high this year (even after the Card data breach announced last night). EZJ is circa £3.60 of it's high this year....and given the fact that IAG SP is less than half EZJ. Will hopefully bounce back a bit over the next few months.

Data breach will only temporarily impact the SP. I'm a LTH of IAG, it has significant movements at certain times of the year (but not usually on a daily basis). I plan to sell at the next results date and then buy back in during December. It falls after the next results date and then starts to climb from December. It's got an excellent growth record. I trade it a few times a year. Got in at £6.20 in Dec 2017 and got out at £7.30 on results day and then back in at £6.70 and have been topping up ever since. All the fundamentals for the whole IAG group are good. It's what I call a good value share......you'll never get rich but you won't lose your shirt either. With a bit of luck and a good tailwind - this could well be in the £8+ region by next March. It's a safe share insofar as you're never going to wake up some day and see 10% + wiped off in a single day (as many shares are now beginning to become quite volatile.

Milothe3rd - your financial return expectations are incredibly low. If you account for inflation & interest rate rises - based upon figures your real return would only be in the range of 2 - 4%. If you traded this share on a regular basis you could possibly be looking at least a 50% return over your 2 & half year timeframe. I suppose we all have different investment/trading strategies.

GDPR is not the main issue - it's the possibility that Card details may have been compromised is the real issue. This will be covered by PCI. All depends on cause. Have to prove that BA were negligent around data security and I doubt they were. Hackers these days can almost penetrate any system. BA will have to prove that all the latest security standards and protocols have been implemented on their systems. It's the reality of the digital age - hackers constantly attack all companies on a daily basis.

And I got out at £4.85 and still took a huge loss....man enough to accept it as I could see the SP going far lower.

I agree with Sage - the notion of £20 SP is totally unrealistic (Analyst's got a bit carried away with that valuation). Fundamentals of EZJ are good and yes, I think they will raise the Divi.....all good for me as I'm in here long term.

Will be interesting to see where the SP is when they announce their next set of results.

Maucha - I've learnt to keep circa 30% of my portfolio in cash so that I can buy good 'dips' on other shares. There's always a bargain around (hence my reason for holding some cash in hand). Something I've learnt from experience :).

Capita is struggling to move above £1.50....it may well move forwards in the next month or so

Agree - very frustrating. EZJ SP is down circa 60p in the past 3 days......didn't expect to see it at December 2017 levels. It will all come good eventually.

Good luck with holding on for £1.60......it may take a while.

Appears 'Investors' have lost confidence in EZJ - SP now back to December 2017 level.

Qzqz - yes, I'm still holding despite a terrible SP performance since the highs earlier this year. Current SP is only circa 20p above December 2017 level but IAG is circa 70p above December 2017 level (and IAG is less than half the price of an EJ share). EJ will rebound, just wait for the next trading statement in early October. I'm holding EJ for the very long term. EJ are doing very well (despite what the SP may indicate). I'll just continue to top up my IAG holding as that gives far better longer term value.

You may well be correct with your assumption that the SP could get to £2.50 in 12 months....but history has shown that Capita has nose dived over the past 2 years or so. Given the fact that they have had to raise additional capital via a share issue this year, that is usually a warning sign.

The issue with Capita is that they are not gaining new key contracts and at present their earnings strategy is to manage costs rather than any demonstrable organic growth strategy. The SP movement from circa £13 down to circa £1.50 over the past few years speaks volumes. If Capita gain a new key contract then SP moves up, but if they struggle to gain any new key contracts or lose a key existing contract then the SP dives. I do not think that the stock is 'truly undervalued' - I'd suggest that it's realistic at present and obviously the whole market does.

Capita always does well when the overall market (FTSE100/200) is rubbish. Capita does well as it is not impacted by Trump tweets or geopolitics or Brexit related nonsense. SP may hold up well by COB today (but that's not to say there won't be a big sell-off after hours). I think I'll wait to see how the SP is performing on Monday morning.

After the big drop in the FSTE over the past few days, Monday may be an opportunity to pick up some profits on other shares.

Maucha - I should have stated that the SP range this week has been between £1.40 - £1.50, hence I've tried to get in when it's closer to £1.40'ish. The range may increase next week, I'll just see how it goes. I will buy just before COB today if SP gets close to £1.43 and then hopefully wait for the rebound on Monday.
