Hold on.......the SP will rise. Panic selling should stop today.

Panic selling will have cleared out majority of PI's who bought in since last Wednesday....and then watch it rise over the next few weeks.

I was £500 in profit this time yesterday....now looking at a £3k paper loss.

Sometime it's best not to look at the SP for a week or so.

Tech stocks are being hit hard on the Apple drop.....and as usual, all tech stocks follow with the panic selling.

Same happened in October , but the markets pulled back.
Once the panic selling on Sophos has finished, it will recover, albeit slowly.
I'm holding and will see where the SP is by end of November.

I'm staying out as well. Markets too volatile at the mo. Only way to make some money on this is to buy at COB and sell within first 15 mins of opening. The SP movement doesn't really justify this tactic though.

I'll wait till the markets settle - may take a few weeks.

Market is very volatile at the moment.....lot of panic selling on the U.S tech stocks, hence Sophos is following.

Sophos have an in-demand product.....Cyber Security is not going away and will always be in demand.

I'm fairly confident that once the panic settles down Sophos SP will normalise. I'm certainly not selling at the cheap SP. Give it a few weeks and you'll see the SP back up to £4+

Elise....panic selling is primarily due to U.S tech stocks dropping.....don't worry, it'll pull back. May take a while but I wouldn't panic.

Agree...always difficult to know when to get in......decent bounce already, but could drop!

Markets too unsettled at the mo, not worth the risk trying to make a few quid.

Good call Qzqz......could get close to £5 very soon.....commodity prices dropping big time.

Will keep an eye on Evraz and will buy back in when close as possible to £5.

Airlines up and down (Oil is too unstable). I'll stick with my IAG.

I've stayed out today Qzqz.......just seeing how low the SP can drop. Will have another look at COB.....and then see how the U.S market does overnight.

Hard to see where the momentum will come from to get RYA moving upwards. Even low Oil hasn't really triggered any momentum. In terms of cash generation - they have shed loads but it's still a bit of an unloved company. Anytime the media have an opportunity to bash RYA, they always take it. Many times it's not warranted, but it seems to be the airline that people love to hate. Sometimes the negativity is self generated.

I'll stick with IAG & WIZZ. Airlines usually perform well from now right through to late December.

WIZZ is looking expensive compared to the low on Wednesday morning (over £4.50 up from the low of the panic selling in early trading on Wednesday). I still reckon it could get to £33+ by Christmas (as long as Oil stays where it is). Even though WIZZ dropped their FY profit forecast, the SP certainly has some momentum....all helped with analysts very positive SP forecasts. Always a gamble as to when to get in as it can move quite dramatically (Up / Down) in a matter of hours/days.

IAG: Interim divi coming up in late December (circa 10p) and pays a few days later. Doesn't sound a lot but it all adds up. Hopefullly the SP will continue it's slow rise from the Sept/Oct fall.

EZY: not sure about where the SP is going.

If it get's close to £5 - we'd make a killing

I expect the SP to have a decent bounce next week. Expected the drop today due to 10% bounce yesterday.

It's now at a very decent price.....wait and see how this increases next week.

SP will get to £4+ Maybe not next week, but I'd expect a climb to £3.80 by end of next week with an additional push the week after towards the £4+ range.

Qzqz......I'm not in at the moment - like you, I waiting for a decent entry point.

This is usually a great trading share, normally when miners drop 3% -4% in a day they bounce back the next.

Current price of £5.64 is too high for me to consider buying back in. £5.50 range is usually a good time to buy in, it rarely drops below £5.50 these days (even on a bad day). It wasn't that long ago when £5 was a good entry point

Could be a good opportunity for a decent profit / trade on Monday if the SP continues to fall to.

Evraz always bounces back.....key is to try and pick up on the low.....always a trick call. Will keep a watch on the SP at close of play today.

Best to ignore 'Analysts' forecasts - it's all guesswork anyway. Albeit a positive forecast can influence the SP.
I've seen numerous analyst forecasts on numerous companies where they upgrade one week and downgrade the next week....they just follow the SP trend.

In my opinion.
- It's way oversold today (25%- 28% drop is certainly panic selling based on company guidance of slowing growth.).
- The SP will find it's true value (once all the day-traders make money/lose money today....SP is too volatile today with all the sellers/buyers).
- Sophos have a good product and will always have a decent demand.
- SP will be back in the £4+ range by early next week.
- Current SP makes Sophos an attractive buying target for any competitor (that will certainly make the SP shoot up).

As far as I'm concerned this is a great buying opportunity for the medium term. Once the dust has settled, You'll see some decent institutional investors buying at a very good price. If you sit back and think about - does a projected slowing growth really justify a 25%-28% reduction in company value? Of course it doesn't.

I'm confident that the SP will be back at close to yesterdays range by December.

at a 25% reduction in SP......give it a few days or so for the dust to settle and watch the SP rise.

Agree with 'Optrade' - the results are in line with realistic expectations albeit with some negative forward guidance.

Market tends to initially over-react to any hint of negative forward guidance and once the panic sellers are out of the way, watch the buyers come in over the next week or so.

Will be interesting to see the so called 'Analysts' jump on board and revise their SP guidance down.....happens all the time....I just ignore them.

Irrespective of the negative forward guidance - the current 25% SP drop is excessive and will sort itself out over the week.

Won't be long till the SP is back at the £4 level.....as 'Trend364' states.....there is only one direction for the SP....and that's UP.

Big drop at market opening is due to forward guidance....profit for full year less than expectations. That will soon be pulled back a little due to lower current oil prices (if low price maintained).

I'm a happy bunny.....made £3k profit in 90 mins this morning. Love the panic selling - especially when overcooked. Wizz is a great day-traders share.

Love this share - another substantial profit made today. Cashed in now......can't be too greedy.

Ignore analysts forecasts - they change their mind on a weekly basis and usually have some agenda.

I'll always back IAG over any other airline - always deliver on growth and earnings. EZJ is another good one. I've never traded RYA (due to Euro transaction buy/sell costs). Wizz is always a bit of a gamble as the SP can move quite dramatically in a matter of days.

The past 2 days have been a fantastic opportunity to trade the airlines - I've made circa £5k on past 2 days on the airlines alone. Always watch how the U.S market performed the previous evening when buying shares in the morning and keep an eye on it when it opens in the afternoon. The main driver for big gains in the airlines over the past 2 days has been positive U.S markets but the key driver has been the BIG drop in Oil price.

Will be interesting to see whether Oil price reacts on Monday (Iran sanctions kicking in)....if Oil doesn't react and stays where it is the airlines SP's will benefit and continue a positive momentum.

Very positive Capital Markets update from IAG today - Good ole Willie - knows how to run an airline business (believe it or not, Willie was an Aer Lingus pilot back in the days).

I've stayed away from Evraz today - spent all my cash on my fav airlines (IAG.EJ, WIZZ).....best day I've ever seen for the take off's as Oil is so low. Just day traded, managed to pick up £2,200 profit is less than an hour. Bought IAG & EJ at 8am and bought into Wizz yesterday afternoon.......Wizz is always a gamble and at one stage yesterday afternoon I thought I'd take a loss on it but turns out that I picked up £900 profit on the Wizz gamble.

It's been such a ling time since I've seen the airlines take off....staying away now as I don't want to gamble away the profits :)
