There is very little logic to the markets anymore....U.S markets down considerably always drags down the U.K markets....also all airlines being hit today & not just EZJ. Throw in a sprinkle of Brexit chaos along with Trumps trade war with China and we have the perfect storm.

The U.S markets are a worry as they appear to be entering Bear territory for some of the major stocks (not just tech). I'd suggest that it's not the FED impacting the U.S markets - it's more to do with Trump and his no-win trade war.

As far as EZJ are concerned - just a pity the results were officially published on a FTSE down day (mind you, the results / pre-guidance were pre-released over a month ago).

NASDQ has taken a hammering yesterday and continues it's downward trend. FANG stocks taking a bashing along with Chip Markers so taking majority tech stocks down - U.K just following. I think the U.S tech stocks hammering will continue.

In terms of the U.K, it's not just Sophos that's down today - majority of non-tech stocks are down. FTSE always follows the DOW / SP500 / NASDQ.

Market will continue to be volatile until the U.S markets show some stability.

Who knows what will happen - the markets certainly don't like uncertainty.

The current so called proposed agreement will never get through parliament, which will only result in more uncertainty and decreasing business confidence. Interesting times ahead.

Agree with Sage - another vote is unlikely but unless resolved soon - I can see some genuine momentum building for another vote. Is the market priced in for a 'No Deal' - I don't think so.

Eitherway - people will keep on flying.

We all wish we were in other stocks.

Personally I'd never touch either Retail or House Builders. I do like Mining Stocks, but it's a matter of getting in when they experience sell-off's...they usually drop 3% - 5% on a bad day and then a day later rise 3% - 5%.

Given where the Sophos SP is at the moment - you'll just have to make a judgement call whether to Sell or Hold.

Sophos doesn't appear to have any momentum at the moment - day traders probably don't see any profit opportunities so will always concentrate on momentum stocks i.e. Miners.

Most day traders will have either made or lost money on Sophos last week when it was in the news and have now moved on to other stocks.

Once momentum is lost, a SP tends to just move sideways for a while.

All the airlines are suffering a bit over the past 2 days....firstly yesterday's Brexit shambles, now just a hint of Oil increasing from the dramatic oil price drop over the past few weeks....Even at higher Oil prices, EZY / RYA / IAG are very profitable.....I can only see these going up from here. All 3 have great business models and will always have up / down swings.

A share price can go down even if there are more buys than sells. It's the frequency that matters. i.e. you could have 2 or 3 big buys but dozens of very small sells.

I notice that the quantities being bought/sold are very small - no major interest today. Markets are all over the place at the moment. If you sold, will you take a loss?

Amran - selling out and hoping to buy back in at a lower price is always a risky strategy.

There are some stocks that you know you can do this with, but I wouldn't do it with Sophos.

Sophos is to some degree immune from the Brexit chaos at the moment hence shouldn't have any wide fluctuations in SP.

Amran - SP is not doing anything today as any PI would have used their cash to pick up great bargains after yesterdays market sell off. Won't be any great buying on Sophos today as there r is lots of money to be made picking up yesterday's bargains.

U.S Markets are up so Evraz may rise.....it's a bit of a gamble. I can see it rise on opening but too much of a gamble at current SP.

I'll wait till another down swing before I get back in.

Anything in the SP range of £5.20 or below and I'll jump back in.

Any reasons why EZJ is being hit far harder than the other airlines today?.......circa 7% drop is massive.

I missed out on the upward swing .......came very close to buying at £5.16 yesterday afternoon.....would have done very well.......BUT......topped up IAG instead........big mistake considering what happened this morning.

Oh well....

Give it time.....it's doing very well holding up considering the carnage on the FTSE this morning.....all the big UK companies are down circa 5% with the chaos on the Brexit issue. Only the Miners are doing well.

The fact Sophos is holding it's ground is a very positive indicator

A lot worse if you were in Flybe.

RYA / Easy / IAG / Wizz.....will all recover from todays madness......Just look at the FTSE 100 (non-miners) - it's carnage out there.

As for Flybe - it's a bit like Debenhams.....almost worthless

Elise - all depends on where the U.S markets go today.

There is a risk that the SP may drop a bit by COB due to daily profit takers.....BUT......the POSITIVE momentum today is a good sign moving forwards. I suggested that yesterday panic selling would clear out all the panicky people and it seems it did.

If the U.S markets are ok today (i.e. don't drop) , then I'd see Sophos rising all the way through to Friday morning. Once PI's see some positive momentum on a share, they tend to jump on board.

Certainly can't see either IAG or EZJ being interested.

IAG have their sights on long haul and EZJ appear to be interested in Alitalia for additional expansion in Europe.

It's only the routes that would be of any value to anyone (not the actual airline itself). Routes are always of value.

Integration costs of one airline buying another are astronomical - hence why most larger airlines wouldn't touch Flybe.

Will wait and see what happens, but my view is that no other larger airline will touch Flybe.

Technical bottom reached.....rising nicely now.

See my comments from the other day.....I did say it was just panic selling and over-reaction.

The current market cap speaks volumes....it's only the routes that would be of any value. Why would another airline want to pick up Flybe debts & liabilities. Over capacity in the market.

Same reason as to why NOBODY wanted to buy MONARCH.....it's only the routes that would possibly interest another airline and even then the commercial benefit would be doubtful.

Hard to know where the SP is going....would have expected it to have risen by now. Some tech stocks are doing well. If it wasn't for the big drop on the NASDQ the other day, I suggest the SP would not have been hammered yesterday...but it was, so not much anyone can do about that!

The issue with Sophos is that they miss their previous forward guidance each time they issue results and the stock rightly gets a hammering on results day. It's dropped over 50% from year high.

Can't see where the trigger for an increased SP is going to come from as the markets are all over the place right now. Looks like Sophos will stay in the doldrums until the market turns around, which may or may not happen.

The forward P/E multiple is very high compared to other tech stocks and this doesn't help.

Can't see it dropping any further as it appears that the technical bottom has been reached now.

Just waiting for Evraz to get close to £5 range. I'd stay away from PMO....although could do very well if/when Oil rises.

I got out of PMO at £1.32.....and so glad I did. Look at it now.....Oil tanking and not likely to make any comeback soon IMO.
