NorthScot - Historically, December has always been a great month for the sector so who knows. All depends on the media hysteria on Covid. As for the trolls - I never feed them, always ignore them as they love the attention.

NorthScot - yes, things will slowly pick up and from the info from the girls, load factors across their 3 airlines are certainly picking up. You can never tell where the SP's will go, but like you say there will always be peaks & troughs along the way. I doubt EZJ will ever get to double SP, I'd suggest £8 is possible by next summer. It certainly won't see the £4 lows again.

NorthScot - Judging by the amount of flying hours the girls are doing now, things seem to be picking up. The wife is a training Captain at BA, and the 2 young daughters (both First Officer's - one at EZJ and the other now with Aer Lingus)....all 3 are now back to full contracts. They were all on reduced flying hours earlier in the year, so all happy to be flying full hours now.

Let's see what the afternoon brings. Seems to be a bit of confidence in the sector at the moment.....albeit building slowly.

Despite some comments on here about being way oversold - it's been sold for a reason. This will never see the £60's high again. Big funds are under pressure to show some real green credentials, and 'fast fashion' (AKA 'throw away') will always be under pressure moving forwards. It's the big funds that control the SP, not the PI's. A real awareness of the environmental cost of so called 'Fast Fashion' will only grow over time. I've traded this a number of times over the years, especially when it's had major pullbacks (30-50%+). It's always bounced back previously, but I don't see this ever happening again.

Environmental concerns also have a major impact......Will we see younger generation becoming more aware and actually be prepared to reduce consumption or will they still buy the cheap tat irrespective of environmental impact?

Love my 12 month old Tesla - beautiful to drive but limited range. Much prefer my 6 month old Range Rover ( a bit of a fuel guzzler), but is too big to park right outside the EZY HQ up at the Hanger in Luton Airport....the 15 or so exec parking spaces are a bit short :). I pop up to the HQ from Surrey every now and again. Future is electric for cars. People will always fly and people will always drive. Future PAX volumes may be less, but ticket prices will reflect any decline in PAX volumes....people will pay more.

It will hit low 120's before it hits 150. Great rise from sub 100 to 148 in a short period of time, no surprise with the very slow daily drips in SP over past month, this is normal when a share has a great rise over a relatively short period. I've no doubt it will see 150 again, but I see the SP very slowly dropping until it finds decent support.

@Facevalue.....No airline would ever publish commercially sensitive information on forward timed contracts. They are only required to publish information as part of FY results and even then only required to confirm Gain/Loss on contracts measured as £ xx m and % position coverage i.e. 10%, 20%, etc. Current fuel costs increases have come as no surprise to airlines. Historically - significant increases have never resulted in drop in PAX volumes. Costs are absorbed and factored into the complex calculation of seat costs (Ticket Prices). Majority of airlines have very similar algo models to determine ticket prices by sector/date/time........everything gets factored in on a daily basis.

And will continue again tomorrow.

Now seems like a decent price to get back in.....whole sector has been hit significantly over the past few days. A few more rinse & repeat trades for me from today.

You are also the same person who had a 'Strong Sell' @ 1.04 less than 3 months ago. We get it, you don't like RR, but still feel the need to talk it down. Every BB has people like you. I'm happy with holding and sitting on my £12k paper profit on RR.

As for the EZY BB resident troll........looking more stupid by the day (nothing new there). GLA to all non-trolls and investors/traders who actually see the upside to all airline shares.

"but you'd make more money .. if you held .. if you're bullish ..doesn't compute"...........I suppose because he was widely predicting £2.50 SP by end of summer, and regrets not selling holdings much earlier and all the time watched the SP drop from £2.00 + all the way down to £1.40. That's what happens when someone is in love with a particular share.

It's been a great trading week for the sector......£3k profit banked on EZJ + £2.2K profit banked on IAG. Could be a lot more but never be too greedy. A profit banked is always good. May dip back in next week. As for the £4 SP tolls.....never going to happen. Will be blips along the way but I can see some decent recovery in the airline sector overall.

@ MakeMeRich.......don't know where you get your aircraft numbers from.....EZY DO NOT have 342 aircraft......they have just over 200.

Just because an 'Analyst' @ Credit Suisse mentioned a possibility of a liquidity call.....this does NOT mean that IAG have to issue an RNS. Credit Suisse were the same firm who raised the SP target only last month and then all of a sudden reduced the SP target......they are as clueless as everyone. Funny that CS only raised the note of caution re-possibility of an RI the day after EZJ RI issue.

I'm predicting the panic selling is done now.

Quite a while ago I predicted this would be £1.50 by end of September - now it's fallen below this SP, looks like it's getting very close to a good re-entry SP. Fell sorry for the resident optimist who was predicting £2.00 by now. Mind you, they'll all say their average is much lower than today's SP. Reality is that they know deep down that they should have sold a lot earlier and bought back in at 20 - 30% less.
