Out of interest I thought it would be interesting to look at possible valuations at the FS and Construction stages

Once an FS has been produced and using the same assumptions regarding the NPV and IRR typically at this stage a project is valued around 60% of NPV so we should be around £600m Mcap with an SP about 26p

And at the Construction phase the valuation is normally around 80% of NPV so £800m Mcap and an SP of 34p

Again many variables in all of this but let's not forget that as we explore and drill more the NPV could move north of £1bn so there is room for some possible upside on these figures!!

At the PFS stage in a mining friendly jurisdiction and with a strong IRR it should be valued at roughly 30% of NPV so with the very realistic possibility of the NPV being upgraded to around £1bn by the time we produce a PFS I estimate that should make the Mcap around £300m which would equate to a share price of circa 13p

So many possible variables here but whichever way you cut it SML are massively undervalued!

I'm a LTH in Solg and like some of the LTH's here it has been quite painful watching the share price drop and being underwater for years nursing paper losses! Thankfully Solg is now well and truly on the up again a bit like SML so I understand the rollercoaster that investors here have been on! But thankfully there were a few tips on the Solg board which led me to SML and I started building a position here a few weeks ago and have now got 4m at an average of 0.9p It's not as low as I would have ideally liked but still an absolute steal given the huge potential! I'm so glad I'm now invested here and believe the SP will significantly re-rate reflecting the true value of what's in the ground as the Assays come in and we move towards a MRE and eventually a PFS! GLA

Something which is Ecuador related and therefore common to Solaris and Solg is the Indigenous Movement have decided to call off their road blockaids prompted by Noboa's threat to bring in the Army. No idea if this has led to more positive sentiment regarding Ecuador as it never ceases to amaze me how strangely the market responds to seemingly innocuous events!

Whilst not exactly old news this occurred last Wednesday and was widely reported so any pull back related to these events has likely already occurred. Next news should be either new TAM Assays or progress / signing of the CIPA following Dan's meeting with Noboa. Either of these will take Solg's valuation north again and I'd it's the CIPA we could very well be back in the 20's! GLA

A few years ago I would have agreed with the statement that we are a long way from getting any gold or copper out the ground but now it's literally within touching distance! Late '27 or early '28 we should see the first production from Tandy and early '29 we may see the first ore coming out of Alpala. It's so so close now and based on the Lassonde Curve this is WHEN (not if!) we will see a fundamental re-rate which will richly reward anyone who is currently invested in Solg! Our time is coming and it's literally around the corner!

But have to say that earlier speculation around NM's holding and whether any has been divested recently didn't help matters and may well have tipped sentiment negative as with such small volumes traded it doesn't take much to tip the book in favour of the bids which IMO is exactly how things unfolded today! Sometimes it's worth remembering that posting such speculation might help get something off your chest but it might also hit you in the pocket!!

I realise that at 20p we are still hugely undervalued but nevertheless it would represent a significant milestone on our way back towards a more realistic valuation! Here’s hoping GLA

Tiger - Apologies. I was researching RAB and Philip Richard and came across this article which I assumed was recent ( even though I was aware that the Northern Rock collapse was eons ago!) Should have double checked the article date as it was historic so please put it down to a senior moment on my part!

It doesn't however change my positive views on SML or why RAB might be divesting which could of course be for a multitude of reasons!

Here's hoping they finish their sell down soon as without their 31m sale in the past 24 hours just think where the SP might have got to?

There is a long way to go to get to a fair value for SML but the journey is definitely under way so patience is required by all. GL

Sorry that should have read " RAB's specialist fund made a 33% loss"

I've been doing some research on this and it appears that one of RAB's specialist funds made a 33% after it invested in the collapsed bank Northern Rock which led to their CEO (Philip Richards) stepping down to focus on running the troubled fund.

This leads me to believe that their divestment is forced/ distressed to help mitigate their losses and as such is in no way a reflection on the quality of the assets held by SML and in particular Redmoor which IMO is a World Class find especially the Tungsten!

Once their distressed selling finishes SML will IMO continue to relate to better reflect it's true value which is grossly understated!

For the record I've invested here for the first time having picked up a recommendation on another board and I'm really glad to be invested here as I can only see a significant upside as drilling continues and further assays come in! GLA

Spot on Sh4reinvest! But the current figures in the RNS only account for 18% of the indicated and measured Ore at Alpala! So we are ranked 4th but there is a further 82% of Ore which could and most probably will be extracted in the future hence why Alpala has been called a Multi Generational Mine!

Might be worth someone who is in touch with Dan flagging this and getting his take on it?
