To your question TP, I cannot say with any certainty but only guess as you have done. What leads me to expect that movement here might take less than a year, is the fact that hitherto there was less data on the groups to target, stratification, refining of protocols based on analysis of past failure, the phenotype work in general, and collaboration on Universal - my expectation is that all of these will in some way inform the Synairgen team more than in the previous P2. Couple that with the early delivery of data on Universal in January - something that was not expected according to Prof Wilko. If there is indeed interest from BP conditional on further data, then my expectation is that the first sign of early data showing promise could well result in a collaborative pathway forward, with little delay. If you are interested the commercial potential of an enterprise, you don't wait for it to present it's wares to your competitors (and risk getting into a bidding war), you quietly make a mutually acceptable offer and you take it forward yourself. They won't be waiting for published results. If new trial data shows stronger commercial viability which triggers a move from a 3rd party, this will fly IMHO. Worth noting that opposite is also true.
