I disagree very much with your investment analysis MrC. The global need for a host-directed, broad-spectrum antiviral treatment delivered directly into the lungs for a plethora of respiratory viral infections remains as strong today as it was 3 years ago. Obvs, DYOR.

The SP rose 400% the last time the company put out positive P2 data. It depends on the data and who want's in on the back of a good readout. They are certainly de-risking a lot from 2020 and the clinical need remains.

That is true, it is part of the CDC's risk assessment of the new variant, which state's "BA.2.86 may be more capable of causing infection in people who have previously had COVID-19 or who have received COVID-19 vaccines. Scientists are evaluating the effectiveness of the forthcoming, updated COVID-19 vaccine. CDC’s current assessment is that this updated vaccine will be effective at reducing severe disease and hospitalization."

I read 26 of the care home affected had Spring booster a few months ago, so a very high vax rate by all accounts if that’s correct.

Further, the footnote [2] states "Synairgen confidential corporate presentations (Dec. 2022 & July 2023). Estimates of annual hospitalisations due to RVIs calculated from data found in (then it lists a couple of separate sources).

Those costings are clearly of interest to whomever is the target audience of that corporate-confidential July 2023 presentation. Perhaps it's the company itself, or perhaps it's for some 3rd partiy/ies eyes.
