Aether, 20 years is a good tenure for a CFO. It could be for any number of reasons, health, family, post-Covid retirement plans, who knows. I'll bet he leaves his shares behind to 'mature' a little further though...now that would be a good sign, eh!?

Why would a guy who was previously CFO at WPP’s Kantar Futures, and before that as Global Commercial Director of WPP’s TNS, a $1.8 billion turnover marketing agency, accept an appointment with little shrivalled imprudent going -nowhere Synairgen? Maybe he knows more, has higher expectations, based on deeper commercial experience of corporate transactions in the the Life Sciences industry, than you Mani? Just a wild guess.

I'm sorry you find this positive development triggering. It must be uncomfortable being short on SNG when it's star is ascending.

This morning’s announcement is a positive development. The fact that the RNS specifically highlights the new CFO’s past experience in WPP serves to show what he brought to the table in the 2019 transaction (WPP’s sale of 60% of Kantar, its global data, research, consulting and analytics business, to Bain Capital Private Equity). Synergen are entering a new phase where they need someone in the key CFO role who has been involved in that type of global transaction. That was highlighted for a reason. Another positive news day IMHO.

A SPAC was never on the cards.

At Bristol-Myers Squibb he was medical director for the development of garenoxacin and the European medical lead for HIV. He later worked at Chiron Biopharmaceuticals as Senior Director for Infectious Diseases and General Medicine, where he was responsible for the European registration of daptomycin. From your remarks TP, it is clear that you don't fully understand the CMO role, or the timing of his appointment. As for cost, he only left Scripps 3 months ago. Synairgen would have had him on their budget forecast in advance of today's announcement (as I doubt the hiring decision was made yesterday...). We have enough cash into mid-2024. We now have a top-class CMO joining the ranks to get SNG001 global. It's a good day.

The Synairgen troops are mobilising under a new and highly respected CMO. The end game is nearing. Some won't like that large investor-pleasing news, because it messes with their trading 'strategy'. .... Hey ho.

And to finish that post ....every time you alert us to the deranged ADVFN chatter TP, it seems to follow that there is a concerted (and undeserved) shake in the SP the next day. A strange smoke signal if you will. Why? I hope tomorrow and the rest of this week prove this nothing more than a coincidence....

Sorry to hear you've been struck again Doc.D, it appears to be everywhere now. Hopefully you will return to full health soon. I was just reading that Gatwick have had to cull the number of flights into/out of the airport this week due to the unexpectedly high number of air traffic controllers out sick at the same time from Covid. Perhaps the government will have a rethink, but I doubt it.

Here's what RM said in his interview this week. Verbatim but you get the jist:

RM " And also projects that we are involved in such as the Universal trial, which is a non-interventional trial. It is recruiting patients as they are hospitalised. We will use the new technology and the data sets we have available to us, and in partnership with other groups, to pull out the patients that we want to target in future clinical trials. That will make trials smaller. It will mean that they can be conducted quickly, and that there will be a greater chance of success. "

So in my humble opinion, stating that they are "Conducting non-interventional preparatory work to expand hospitalised patient populations for potential treatment with SNG001" is pretty much aligned to what he describes above.

To infer that they are doing nothing is incorrect.

Isn't our participation in the Universal trial exactly that - "non interventional (P2) preparatory work" ? It's not new and we've been aware of it for many months.

H1 2024. That hasn't changed since yesterday's media statement, twitter video release and Proactiv interview where they committed to that date. I see no reason there would be "further delay" since the announcement this week.

Just be aware Aether that your (and other) versions of "fail" may be quite different to TGF's. I would ask a couple of questions about our major shareholder - which fund do you think Polygon niched their accumulated SNG shares into and using what investment strategy? How many years are similar investments held? What is their current (annual, i.e. 2023) fund allocation breakdown for the fund holding SNG - is it to decrease/increase/remain static the current allocations? All the above is publicly available information.

Another question to ask, is why they have steadily accumulated and largely held (as far as we know), to then set fire to their bed? Makes no sense IMHO.
