You’d think so, but there have been several times before when we’ve said to ourselves "they wouldn’t be doing this unless everything was rosy" so I’d say it’s prob positive rather than negative but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Yes thats right. Helikon pay their swap counterparty Libor + a spread, Swap CP pays Helikon the return on HZM. The effect for Helikon is the same as borrowing money to buy stock.
I'm not sure if anyone pays margin but I don't think they do.
I'm a bit unclear about the question of voting rights. The swap CP might just be a holder who thinks the share will tread water until production and wants to generate some income from it. In this case I guess it could be a condition of the swap that the holder votes as instructed by Helikon, where appropriate.

You seem to imply that getting a EUA is part of the approval process?

It didn’t. It showed a possible statistically significant benefit.

This is false. If the interim analysis passes the futility threshold it means there is still a reasonable possibility that significant results will occur, not that its expected.

Oversimplified the interim analysis could show 3 things.
1. Indication of Zero or negative effect at interim stage.
Trial stopped on grounds of futility. No realistic chance of proving benefit.

2. Indications of benefit at interim stage, not statistically significant, but with a reasonable chance of showing statistically significant benefit by completion of trial. Trial continues, to see if statistically significant benefit becomes apparent.
3. Treatment knocks it out of the park by interim stage, showing statistically significant benefit even with the lower sample size at interim stage. Trial stopped, placebo patients get the treatment. Happy days.

Passing "futility" just means you got past stage 1. It doesn't mean you have shown statistically significant benefit. It just means you've shown that it's still possible you will show statistically significant benefit by completion of the Trial.

When you say interim analysis is that the futility analysis? Passing futility analysis means very little. It certainly doesn’t mean that the treatment showed a statistically significant benefit. If it did you could just stop the trial there……
