Some FACTS for you chaps over your cornflakes that completely dwarves your EHGO funding obsession:
Just a thought, has anyone considered the market size and applications of VAL201?
Val 201 a potential blockbuster:
Clinical efficacy on just 4mg delivered a mean 30% PSA reduction
Abiraterone on a much longer dosing period delivered a mean 50% reduction on a slightly higher dose , it seems very likely that Val 201 will match those results as we have been told the more the patient takes Val 201 the more the patients PSA will decrease
Abiraterone has really ugly side effects. Side effects of abiraterone acetate include fatigue, arthralgia, hypertension, nausea, edema, hypokalemia, hot flashes, diarrhea, vomiting, cough, headache, glucocorticoid deficiency, mineralocorticoid excess, and hepatotoxicity among others
Val 201 really has none
Abiraterone is the gold standard of care ,and is a blockbuster drug
Abiraterone cost ?40k per year .201 could cost the same as a statin
The best bit:
JnJ’s Zytiga (abiraterone acetate) had sales of $2.5bn in 2017.
Val 201 ending a phase 2 trial in 17 working days, with read out in June and FULLY funded.
Dr Satu Vainikka, CEO of ValiRx, commented: "I am delighted to receive this analysis from an external expert, showing that VAL201 is having a positive and desired effect on prostate cancer patients' disease markers. Effectively, the more a patient takes VAL201, the more a patient's PSA will decrease.
Looking good and make 401 simply the icing on the cake!
