Well.... 2 of those arsenal goals deserved a conference call... alone. Very Special. Now has Dan got a special bit of sprinkles for us or has he got some left over dried up special fried rice from last night.

I urge folk to take a look at Anglo Asian (AAL). They are also under offer (an unwanted one) and you'll see they have released 2 bits of news since their offer landed in an attempt to boost sp and let investors know the company is going cheap etc. Whilst we don't have a formal offer yet, our management are keeping their power dry... or trying not to upset the Chinese or rock the boat. Hard to understand which when there is no news or attempt at a defence. But early days I guess... still 2 weeks+ for the Chinese.

Incidentally, xmas trading in last week and during the holiday season is notoriously volatile due to liquidity and fact 85% of the market is wrapped up in mince pies and booze.

Going to be a very made few weeks I imagine if this goes into the last week of the year. AGM is on the 30th lol!

If those 16m shares suddenly disappear and have are closed out, then I think a few will be raising an eyebrow on how they went about it.

L&G must be lovin this. For last few days they've been buying up a few million in the 30's. Today, for no reason at all... they can mop up more stock at almost 10% discount.

I knew there would be some fun and games involved with the sp as there always is these days. But feels like someone trying to shake a few folk out. Considering long termers have been here for 5 years+, I don't think they'll be gaining much stock lol!

More added... they are active... I wonder how many the scopped up today in that tree shake?

Whilst minor... we do seem to have added 6m of shares to our issue which one presumes is through options. Mather's total seems to have lifted by 6m too.

Surely we should hear about any options being exercised?

Not too impressed that they've 'bundled' them together. Would have preferred isolated holdings. Is Samuel holdings offshore? Mmm.

Eloro, as I said a while ago... imagine how the market would react to the ExploreCo being IPO'd / spun out and then we start drilling and hunting for the next Tier1 mine... imagine what a few good drill cores would do to that exploration company especially if listed on ASX.

In the meantime, our Tier1 mine can tick along and be derisked and up and up we go the lassonde curve.

The market backdrop is great right now, we have a really exciting future and there are signs that the market are waking up to it (L&G buying etc).

Nice to have interest from the Chinese but at sub 70p they are wasting their time. And I suspec next year, they'll be wasting their time at sub £1.

Even if it does drop past 26p... it's not going to be hanging around for long with the newsflow that Dan and Paul have lined up. As I said... we'd have been at 30's and 40's anyway based on CIPA, ExploreCo, TAM updates and the stonking PFS update due too.

Buy the dips.

If the Chinese did offer 35p and it got rejected - then I do hope Dan and Paul show Mr Liu the exit and all 'technical advice' and on the ground access to Cascabel is revoked from Chinese.

There's a bucket load of TR1's due on Friday and some might not want to show their hand / holdings. It's quite apparent who hasn't updated that we know of. If Jiagnxi make 3rd bid and it does get rejected before Friday... then how convenient is that for those that didn't want to show their holdings???

I can't believe news has leaked as that would be the second time and SOLG BoD's would need holding to account unless of course.. it's the chinese doing the leaking.

Anyway... making low ball offers that are going no where seems a bit pointless so imagine there's some 'testing the water' going on.

Be interesting to see if Canaccord pitch up today. They were absent yesterday and day before. Leaving Peel Hunt to it.

Looks a bit over done on no news. Pull backs to be expected but 32.5p down to 27.5p is significant and should require a market RNS from SOLG to say they are unaware of anything that may effect the sp etc.

That creates the largest copper player out there and BHP's plans to acquire copper resources the fastest way possible well and and truly gone. Their board has made an embarrassment out of their shareholders with that failed approach. Unless they pull something out of the bag soon, they will be left behind when it comes to the big boom copper period. Henry has to pull something out of teh bag or he's going to get the boot.

The entire top tier mining sector needs to have a strategy to deal with the new AngloTEK dominence in the market. Just what are they gonna do? Sit back and let the chinese mop the available assets out there?

BHP raised $3bln not £3bln.

That would allow a 70p bid but imagine they can add a bit of cash into the mix but yesterday's raise allows them to do it on a neutral cash basis although that said, Blackrocks funds was based on another asset. But cash is cash when it comes to balances.

According to Global X ETF fund, they also added yesterday. Another 500k to their pot. They hold 37.5m. L&G also now hold 38.78m.

BHP all cashed up and ready to go... should they choose to do so.

Often the way monte... but we are in a different situation here with the chinese potentially going first and they have the deepest pockets, so the only disadvantage comes down to what they are willing to pay vs what someone like BHP is willing to stump up. The asset is there for the chinese to take it for the right price and I don't think politics will play a part as Ecuador and China have deep ties not to mention Ecuador oweing chinese billions in loans.

Remember, Ecuador secured new financing (around $600M) for energy generation and transmission during President Noboa's visit to China earlier in 2025.

It's certainly timely and having the cash raised already would placate their shareholders should they drop a bid in. Jettison a non core asset to Blackrock and purchase a Top ten Tier1 mine loaded up with Gold, Copper and Silver. I think their shareholders would see that as a very good way to deploy cash.

Would allow them to bid to 70p without tapping any cash reserves. Neutral on cash spend but transformational on gaining significant copper resources.

We have 28moz as per last PFS. And that's based on roughly 20% of the total resources. So you could x that 28moz by 4.

28moz x $60 = $1.68bln. The Silver alone could virtually finance this project lol!

RodneyT, I think you can throw in Tenstars shares too in terms of Mather's control. I think it's widely known that Tenstar are in some way aligned with Mather.

PoG rising again and metal prices seem steady at present so surprising to see the bulk of miners across market all showing some red today. Just one of those days... tomorrow it's blue and so on.

Markets usually go on a Santa rally about now but majority have been on a santa rally since Feb I think!! So some inevitable year end or quarter tidy up for some funds.
