I really dont think the younger generation care a great deal and they are the ones who will going to the cinema. They will just crack on with things and before we know it face masks will just be a fashion accessory.
We now have a better understanding of the virus, we know how to reduce the risk of spread, we know mortality rates are practically zero if you are young fit and healthy. This along with all the research going on for a vaccine I would be alot more worried going short than long. Sure u may get a percent here of there but for me the big money is now going long.

I would say about a 0% of this likely happening. Clearly some MPs have too much time on their hands.
I pretty sure (though I havent checked) that legally they couldnt actually follow through with this even if they wanted.

Hoping to see us rise a bit next week...

I'm sorry, are you telling me that I'm going to be having a holiday in Blackpool rather than overseas?? No chance, not in a million years. Us Brits love our holidays and that wont stop after Brexit. If there are any barriers then either the travel agents will help deal with it (if it's a paperwork exercise) OR I will travel to another land where they are happy to take money from me.

Same issue with HL. Hasn't been just this morning though. Finally emailed after losing several hundred in lost trades as nothing would go through. Some times cant even login!! If they dont get back to me with some explanation that improvements will be made I will just move.

We will get there. I'm not sure whether it's just not loved as the assets are not all new big shiny buildings. Either way very much undervalued, I'm suprised we havent seen the herd arrive to this. Enjoying the nice rise since last week though.

I have my buy set in the mid 80s. Trying to trade a little without being too greedy. Usually doesnt work for me but got my sell pretty spot on today.
Still bullish about this. I just cant see too much happening between now and a few days before openings actually happen.

There is now more confidence within the wider market that COVID is being managed and the numbers infected being reduced. With this and many others sectors cinemas will start to open up. I see apossibility of a small pull may happen but nothing like we have seen in recent weeks. I believe a new trading range will become apparent.
If u are in for long term I would just buy now and then come back in 6 months time.

Loads of cash. Minimum COVID claims, literally pocket change to AV.
Providing how sales go over the next several months I'm going to remain optimistic and say Divi's will be back end of year with a special dividend to make up some of the losses to the shareholders.

I agree on the virus most likely making a comeback as there are already signs this may be happening in Germany, China and South Korea. But we are no longer living in those times, we have testing kits, temperture readings better PPE and technology now. We also know what to expect and with restrictions that are in most parts being obeyed around the world I dont see the second wave to be larger than the first.

Just correcting a subject title. Board know what they are doing here. Huge amount of liquidity and cutting costs. I am very impressed given the circumstances.

Noggers - based on historic data for previous crashes u are very likely to be correct. My slight optimism however is that this 'crash' is different in that it was caused by a virus and therefore hoping it will be more of a blip than a recession caused by a bubble that's just popped.... only time will tell.

I'm at that stage now where I am comfortable with significant cost reductions which will come both naturally whilst the ships are stacked and through thorough review of overheads by the management they can be seen to get through well into 2021 with what they have.

My concern now is having a second, third or fourth wave of the virus before we get a vaccine. Singapore are now on their confirmed second wave and all the 'experts' expect the UK and Europe to have a second and possible third wave this year if no vaccine is found. With all the countries at various stages it will be impossible to continue operations whilst this in going on.
Add to this Trump possibly opening up restrictions too early could see them experience far worse conditions than we have in Europe.

I sold when Trump said he may relax restrictions in the US. I have my finger over the buy button for when clarity is made on either a vaccine or confirmation further waves are not likely. I may miss a few pence but this will still be a multibagger even if I have to wait a little longer....

Otherwise I'm afraid they could need more funding....which by the way they will get without an issue but that in itself will create more buying opportunities....
