Sw10000 I too always fly BA to the states. I constantly moan as the BA Heatrow to Houston planes are literally falling to pieces. Though I got lucky and had a flight back from New Orleans on one of their new aircrafts and am pleased to report a huge improvement!!

I personally think this has a long way to play. Even when restrictions get lifted there will be certian travel bans and constraints that will cause financial pain to airlines. Less planes will be in the air, airlines going under and new orders being delayed. It could have some implications to play out for RR. For a few years yet. Dont get me wrong RR. Will be around for many years but the already squeezed profitability will be tightened that little more...

I thought Easyjet had a 600m gbp grant from the coronovirus emergency fund. That was quite swift so cant see why they would for one and not another. My guess it's just a formality to make sure the funding gets approved, or they are looking for a much larger bailout?? I'm in IAG so would be beneficial to me BUT I wouldnt like seeing what is otherwise a profitable and good airline going to the wall due to this virus.

If this could be used it would reduce the stress on the NHS significantly. Already taken by hundreds of millions since its release.... damage limitation until a vaccine can be completed....

There pub chatter (virtual pub) that Boris was given this treatment although late on in his diagnosis...though no evidence of this.

Either way if there is evidence to reduce hospital treatment by 80% that would get things moving quite quickly.

I more like the fact the Saudis are in part to blame for the oversupply thus creating a melt down in oil price. Then go round spending $$$ picking up a load of cheap shares in European Oil majors....

Its news like this that causes widespread panic. Stating 75% change they need to release equity is huge especially when the share price has contracted considerably already. Their summary on RR. Is not good reading if you are a share holder;

Personally I think they have overcooked the numbers. I would say we will be in isolation for two months, let's add another month to play safe. So it's a qtr of the year. That's 25% and that's IF no one does anything. Most people I know are still working still buying stuff. Yes economy wont be back up to the highest we were straight away and many self employed and those working in the service sector will struggle but I am hoping we all just get back out there when this is done. I would be suprised if it's more than 20%...
Me and the gang are already planning a week long **** up when this is over just to have something to look forward too

With any joy this will all be behind us soon. More good news about further studies and testing... cant be far off now;

JonnoS- whilst I appreciate what you are saying and would tend to agree with you if it was a failing business but in normal circumstances it's a very reputable and profitable company. I would hope if they dont get assistance from the Govt the banks will see the latest virus as something quite out of the ordinary and see this as an opportunity to lend relatively risk free. Dont get me wrong they will take a bit of a battering over the next few months or year but we humans have a short memory and will soon want to be paying top dollar to see the world. I am quite confident Carnival will be there to take our cash.

As four countries have now proven this works I guess we will do our own study before its official but to me means govt is hoarding and well prepared if given the green light

It's those words exactly nothing to do with drugs that are similar. I will see if I can get a link to it but reading between the lines several countries including us believe this to have some positive outcome which would be a massive boost for all (and the stock market)

Now the french have done their own trial and got the same results as the Americans, Chinese and South Koreans.....chloroquine seems to be a good treatment
If it was just one trial I would be sceptical but it’s at least 4 now and they’ve all shown the same thing...

Also the UK government stopped the export of this drug from the UK end of Feb as they knew this was likely to be cure and didnt want to run out.... why is none of this being reported properly???

I placed this in the bottom draw after the big drops earlier in the year. Nice to see some blue days this month already... hopefully we r going to start seeing some good progress in the next few months and a re-rate back to where this should b... GLA

I wonder what we have in store next week? Probably no news but this is fine as it gives me chance to top up. So whilst we wait for news, what shares are everyone else is? I'm mostly Ftse. I just dip a toe in the AIM companies as it can be so erratic and difficult to read.

Well good luck!! By today's standard 7 years is a long time, u have a a lot of patience. Not long to go. I'm surprised there is not more buzz around this share given the potential upside and how much fuss there is over other certain AIM companies who which seem to be associated with a lot more risk.

I'm relaxed :) I've done the numbers and believe I have a sound investment. There are a couple of risks which I anticipate will let the surge begin when / if we get the information... Confirmation we will not be shut and that we will meet the upcoming loan repayment. Both of which I am confident can be achieved.... he says FN

The only share to let me down today... wasn't expecting such a tank especially on no news and considering the beating it's taken. Things can only get better.... surely?
