Without doubt the planet is heating up, after all, as the ice caps and glaciers melt, it will inevitably warm up, like having ice cubes in a glass of water, more ice, the colder the water, as the ice melts the water warms up, that in turn speeds the process up, until we are out of the ice age (we are still in one if there is ice on the planet). Then it will heat up.
