As you pointed out, the gas was capped. Also need to understand, Germany will do anything the US tells them to do, they are under occupation after all, since 1945. The Germans do what they are told, so I suspect that the US will supply them with SMR's if that is the route they take, but for now it has to get past legislation that put an end to nuclear power and try to reverse that. The 'Greens' control a lot of power (no pun intended) in the Bundesrat.

Cev, I don;'t anyone on here believes we can do anything about it. But pointing it out, sometimes is just for our own benefit, that we 'see it' and know that it is happening.

As individuals we can do nothing, but sometimes pulling head out of sand is ok. Telling everyone else that perhaps they are not alone in seeing it, can be helpful.

These people no longer care whether we see their corruption, but ignoring it tells them that we are 'okay' with it and I for one, am not.

The numbers are all just to allow money to be exchanged, cash flows if you will. Who will be counting the planes? The missiles, etc? No, good old fashioned bribery, that is all. Most Saudis and Qataris hate their leaders, but as they are 'our' dictators, we say nothing.

Saying that the Chinese build crap is somewhat infantile in thinking. They build low quality for their domestic market, same for Africa, Asia and even Arab countries. The Honda C50 Cub is built in China, but for European and US markets, the build quality is fantastic, so, let us not get carried away with the rhetoric.

Triumph build their bikes (or use to) in Vietnam, but no one complained as the quality was good (for a Triumph).

Sometimes we only get to see what they build for their home market and costs dictate spend.

If they can build rockets to get to the ISS they pretty sure they can build anything for Western markets too.

It's assumptions like that prove the world is full of morons.
