GoostreyBoy, I had the same, could not even sit. ended up being hips, both of them replaced 11 years ago at same time. No more pain, mobility and strength restricted but as the 'ball and socket and now 50% of what they were no real surprise there. Cost....£50k no waiting, MRI, diagnosed issue, was told do I want to do it or not, said yes, booked me in the next week. Also, knee pain through lack of cartilage greatly reduced.
