I think the strength of the USD right now has a lot to do with global markets tanking.
Personally speaking I for one would be all in favour of getting rid of the USD as the global reserve currency and trade done on the currency from where you buy a product.
As currently only the US benefits from the global reserve, no wonder they will go to wars to protect that status.

I agree with Scotty, the war will end when Putin and the Chinese decides it ends.
Biden had the chance to stop it early on, chose not to and instead keep the supply of weapons and money flowing in to fight a proxy war.
This will be a grinding out war or attrition. Russia is already rebuilding parts of the east of Ukraine, they are literally integrating it into Russia.
It will also last as long as Europe can tolerate the loss. People's minds will sway once the financial impact hits their wallets.
That being said, people will fly, some won't due to financial constraints others will find a way just to relieve some stress. A treat if you will.

Energy cost are affecting everyone in Europe, probably more so in Germany and Austria than France, but more than the UK.
The Germans are panicked over the loss of gas and rising costs, yet DAX is doing better???

Hate to say it, but nothing seems to be helping UK stocks at the moment.
Something is driving the UK market down, whether deliberate I cannot say.

I hope they are doing better than IAG shares....
