Lloyds, we have a fuel and food poverty crisis in the UK, it is a 'democracy' yet where are all the people taking to the streets?
And you expect Russians, who can be arrested and disappeared to do what the people in the UK will not?

On a serious note, this will push the green lobby to the back of the stage and allow for more nuclear power, at least there will be a guarantee of energy source. Was speaking to a guy I know who happens to work for the Swiss Borse, he said interest rises here have nearly peaked, the fed does not want it to go any higher as that would trigger a recession. Our inflation at the moment is @4%.
Any rate rises will impact the housing market here, that is never good.

Yes Scotty, I have been following that. There is a rush from British Gas to have customers sign up the a higher 'fixed rate' for 2023.
Artificially high prices does not help the suppliers long term, it will only force people to seek alternatives. Short term greed is all this is.
