The Arabs and the East are building up resistence to US forces, this will either way ATM.
If they are planning on dumping the petrodollar that would be good thing (my personal view), this would allow countries to level up the playing field.
Europe will take decades to recover from this, as they did the last time.
Being in the middle means getting battered by the US and by the East/Arabs.
I wonder how long before voices in Europe get really loud and want to withdraw support to Ukraine?

Good to see the US markets flying yesterday, Asian markets also up quite a bit today.

What a rigged system the whole stock market is, those with big money decide where it goes. We are not investors, we merely buy tickets on a roller coaster that the only way off is to unbuckle while inverted.

AC, that is not the reason this is at 0.90, a looming depression is the reason. We are already in a recession, the technicalities mean squat, as does the fundamentals. This is purely down to inept central bankers and Powell.

Do not agree with how Putin has gone about this, but, seeing how the west, America especially like to portray Russia as the boogeyman (fear, how else do you control 350 million?) we have arrived at this juncture.
It is now just a big game of propaganda... from both sides.
What we need is de-escalation, but that is far away. Even General Petreaus says that the two biggest proponents of this in the US is Graham and McConnell. They want this to go on and will push any new funding bill to keep the flow of weapons going to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, their own citizens are hurtling in to the abyss of financial ruin. Same in Europe TBH.

Wes, you have US mid-terms coming up, Biden has to show that he can win this war against Putin, negotiating a peace deal will not win him votes... or so he thinks.
