AC, I can tell you from personal info I have, people are not suffering in the way you think. Most are 'just getting on with it', day to day living. Sure they miss a few luxuries.
The reason a lot continue to 'support' him is because they know even if he goes, the west will never allow them, the people to go back to their old lives. So what difference does it make. As someone we know said, if not him, someone much like him will take over!!
