Just looking closer at some of the slides provided from QC yesterday.
Looks like the current platform development base is closely linked to the same CV2X scope, approximately ~40 OEMs.
There are approx ~25 'mainstream' OEMs that we all know and have heard of (which i believe QC seem to believe they have the majority of) and ~60 worldwide in total.
To think the development kits for Gen4 c0ckpit platforms will be available in the next couple of months for these guys, and assuming 1. there will be a bigger take up than Gen3 (more than likely) and 2. timelines will compress further as development accelerates some may say we are looking extremely well placed here.
I'd tend to agree shallwe, we may not necessarily see any RNS for this. It was very likely SEE knew about the scope of this platform from the very beginning of the relationship with Qualcomm. After all, when that announcement came out we looked into the Qualcomm automotive case and many of the articles boasted Qualcomm had already tied up 21 of the 25 OEMs for some sort of business (I seem to recall 6.5billion of business already factored for?) and we discussed it here. We just didn't know the details of what for. Now we do.
Sounds like we are still an optional component depending on the customers needs for Gen3 (waiting for Colin to confirm). That said going by the current trend I would assume we were still required in a good proportion of these. But to hear we are actually standard in Gen4 is amazeballs.
Can't wait for some deeper analysis from Colin.
"Can we stop talking about hardware agnostic as the “winning” solution for DMS now? This is about optimized, integrated, accelerated solutions."
I think Martin's laptop just went out the window. Not a good day in Gothenburg!
And just for the record, Sebastien Rougeaux's left hand testicle is worth £384mil alone, based on the included population of intellectually gifted tadpoles within, particularly around vision based sciences.
That may assist in giving you an idea of the remaining upside :)
A good sign that you haven't researched this share enough is when you start hearing profit taking voices in your head.
I guess that's the only advise I can give here, as I'm not sure you know what we know, but we are kind of a big deal.
Just so you know :)
