It's a no from me too. I'd rather ANIC stay listed and tough it out. We don't yet really know if this will be a V U or L shaped recession. We're also not told that any of the investee companies are proposing fundraising now. That's unsurprising because (like everyone else) they'll perhaps most likely wait till economic recovery is underway before doing so anyway. At which point fundraising by ANIC also becomes more readily achievable and it benefits from its listing. Missing a few investee fundraisings if it comes to that should be manageable anyway over the long term. So it doesn't really make sense for ANIC to delist. Imo.

I had the same thought and guess it depends on whether other IIs follow Galloway's approach.
I'm also very peed off at having bought something marketed to me as a long term growth investment only to be effectively asked to leave a few months later out of pocket.

It's an established mining area. Barruecopardo (open cast tungsten mine) is only a few miles down the road. The only real issue here is about permitting the mining of uranium specifically imo.

More likely positive news re permitting imo. The comprehensive sgrf funding supply and off take arrangements make t/o less likely. But always possible. Something's going on.

Politicians and organisations do seem to be acting before thinking these days, desperate to be seen to be doing the right thing. Maybe that'll work in BKY's favour because of the urgent social and economic issues. But Ribera et al are (un)principled hard nuts and will take some digging out.

Sp could move up very nicely if this is about permitting. It was in the 60s for a bit about 3 yrs ago. Long term contract and spot prices have improved since then (spot sharply). Omanis seem supportive still and there hopefully won't be problems raising any further money needed to cover the period of delay. Should be insignificant in the round anyway. 300% from here maybe on permitting.

Activity seems to have died down a bit this week. And no RNS.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think what just happened was that the Omanis converted some debt to equity, enabling BKY to offer more generous community spending commitments, in the event of permitting being forthcoming. BKY made some comment in the press. Cue flurry of activity.
This was perhaps a punt by the Omanis, an attempt to influence the decision-makers at a crucial time, and/or a calculated risk as a key stakeholder close to BKY and the process. It’s encouraging that someone so close to the project is prepared to increase their risk exposure (has something happened they know about and we don’t?), but without news, it’s hard to get overexcited.
The current CSN board (bar the sensible members) and the government seem set on frustrating the project, but will need to tread carefully, to avoid breaching the legal and regulatory frameworks governing process. Ribera herself is a lawyer, albeit no stranger to controversy and lawsuits, so if she or her political henchmen do act unlawfully, they could open themselves up to heavy criticism, eg by effectively wasting public money resisting and paying the costs of the inevitable appeals, which are bound to succeed.
I get the feeling this has got a long way to go.

Reading the material you posted yesterday, I thought from Bellon's tone that BKY were upping the ante. The recent quarterlies spoke of a collaborative approach with the authorities. Now it's "reminding" them in a public forum of the regulatory and legal frameworks. More aggressive language. Battle lines being drawn perhaps. Bellon fronting this for now in the absence of a new ceo.

€87m and 500 jobs. And the rest of course. Quite a carrot to be dangling in front of the powers that be. Will they come out and bite..?

Reuters will presumably be seeking ongoing comment from their sources but they'll probably have gone to ground. Get the feeling this CSN report and ratification (or not) and permitting (or not) is getting close.

I believe the timeline from here is CSN technical report, CSN board ratification, central government approval, completion of permitting, then legal appeals/mining. There's many a slip twixt cup and lip but judging from the volume and SP rise it looks like a leak or something's happened this week suggesting progress. I hope BKY's lawyers are all over every aspect of this because of the dodgy politics at every step.
