BKY seem to be playing this long game coolly at the moment. Being “collaborative”, and having “constructive dialogue” with government and the CSN so we’re told ha ha.
Let’s hope they’ve an iron fist in the velvet glove. They’ve got top lawyers advising (Herbert Smith Freehills in Spain), whose brief is presumably to scrutinise all aspects of the CSN report and permitting process as things unfold, and take action where appropriate. Interestingly, BKY dropped the law suit against the conflicted anti-nuclear protest leader’s appointment to the CSN board. That might have been just because there was no chance of success of course, but might it have been connected with assurances given as to compliance and transparency in process following that appointment and the Reuters piece? And will there be a claim (quashing or compo) arising from the CSN report and/or any refusal to permit following the report, for example if there’s no lawful reason to refuse, ie a kind of judicial review of any irregularities in process?
Still worth a punt this share imo.
Hope all posters here are well and avoiding this pesky virus. Particularly terrible situation in Spain.
