I think what makes it difficult is what would be classed as a successful outcome.The litigation funders will consider all the potential outcomes and determine how they will be paid in the event of those outcomes. Once they commit to the litigation route then what happens if the decc back down and agree to LU etc. How do the finders get paid? In equity? we do not know the proposed structure of logp after the rto. My personal feeling is once the process starts there is no going back.

Whatever Predator are waiting for from.the DECC it needs to be a yes or no . A maybe is the worst possible outcome IMO. Its just delaying tactics and everyone has waited long enough.It appears that individual ministers / decision makers do not want to risk the wrath of the eco zealots by giving the thumbs up to any o&g lease undertakings or field developments. They need an excuse to say their hand was forced. A bunch of self serving pontius pilate' s. So get on with it guys. Hit them with an astronomical claim. It is way past time for talking.

I get the feeling when this litigation hits the irish government it is going to be a coordinated effort from multiple parties. It is going to be some showdown. Ryan et al will be out in force painting the o&g industry as enemies of the state and the country. I honestly feel as though it could be a pivotal moment and not just for ireland.

Maybe no one wants to stick their head above the parapet .

Its going to take the likes of LOGP to force the issue. they just need to get a move on.

According to the 2024 annual report the RTO candidate was selected in the second half of 2024.

The statement regarding initiation of proceedings and discussions with litigation funders was in the 2023 report!

I think there is justification for feelings of impatience.

Its all opinion but with the processing added and proposed increase in output i am looking for double the NPV from the pfs. They have stated 15 to 20% for sale value. With strategic importance I think 20% is achievable.

I think what was being mentioned was the litigation funding which has always been identified in RNS as separate to the RTO.

My personal opinion.....and that's all it is.....is that as long as we get backing to pursue the claim, then I cannot see us losing. We either get included in some development of barryroe or we win a substantial amount under ECT. Just wish they would get a move on. Ryan is enjoying his post ministerial life, still airing his blinkered agenda and blaming everyone but himself for the precarious state of energy supply in ireland . The guy obviously still thinks his opinion carries weight!!! Meanwhile we and everyone else are stuck here having to deal with the fiasco he has helped create. How he ended up getting such a powerful role in ireland is beyond belief.

If someone other than logp developed the licence before any claim was settled surely that would have the potential to substantially increase the claim.

They decided what the plan was a long time ago and they are going to blame a lack of support from existing shareholders and poor market conditions as justification for their self serving actions.

Why would they put all their eggs in one basket?

They may collaborate with other investors for the claim and if the LU decision is reversed then great. But for the RTO my feeling is they will diversify. Aulds company serinus delisted earlier this year and was bought by investors for a knock down price. My opinion is that the plan is to reverse it into logp. Producing assets in eastern europe and tunisia with room for development. Money coming in, big backers. Think Boldy was ok with it as long as his loyal supporters through the barryroe saga were to be benefit fully from the outcome of any claim.
