RE: Realist 1-0 Rampers8 Dec 2023 17:16
Can I be a realist with you and be part of the realist team?
Reading all your posts it seems I have to do the following:
1. Moan about where it is now compared to where it was then (I like this, as it reminds me of my dad talking about how great the 70s were).
2. Consistently tell everyone that the future is too far away to be positive about for this share and probably won’t even get to anything good? (That’ll help my investment as being a realist everyone will agree with me / this and won’t bother buying)
3. Being a realist I can tell you that the company is going bankrupt if we don’t get to 2000 bopd and might never get there as no RNS has been sent to show we are improving production (flaring doesn’t count as past performance is no proof of future performance unless past performance is bad then it IS proof of the future being bad). Once again people will agree with my honest view and will want to buy into this share this helping my investment recover.
4. Argue that despite proof of other companies deploying EOR at upto 50% recover rates and recent reports showing tech might improve this upto possibly 70%, being a realist and not wanting to be too over positive we should work to 10-20% recovery that way we won’t be disappointed (again as per 1-3 people love this honesty and will then buy in)
5. JV. Let’s get real on this. Despite us having proven massive oil reserves and being located on an area where all around us other companies are being acquired or JV’d, there’s no point expecting us to secure a JV because, err, well why would a mega cap want to acquire our assets for their personal massive wealth.
Ah ok being a realist, they might want us and there was an RNS saying someone does but if we do we will give 1 billion barrels + away for 10p a share at best because that’s a realist target. Yes I know Denbury went for $5 billion in the fields nearby but realistically $250m is enough for us surely?
So can I be a realist? I’m sick of being positive or trading as I get called a ramper for doing this. Realism is knowing the future looks pretty grim and still holding shares so I can tell you I was right even if I lose money.
