I don't agree Bolgas ... leasing is a viable option to get over the up-front capital outlay issue. And the very many VFRB projects round the world ought to testify to its future success (at least in time).

It is the ONLY viable mass storage alternate to Li-Io and has numerous long term performance and environmental benefits ..... but we will see

I don't think it is too late for RED, but the offerings here have no technical superiority (like Betamax had), and before (OF) anyone harps in to rebut, where is the evidence of technical superiority ... nothing has ever been published. RED's only viable market place is niche smaller scale. Its systems are just not designed to be 100MW storage systems, the cost overhead of multiple shipping containers is too high.

I await the funding call... right after we get noises about Germany and needing money to implement it ... must be feeling in a cynical mood and its only monday morning

Bushvelds Nitrovan process is protected I believe ... in any case, the essential point is being missed. One (not the only perhaps) reason to buy Nitrovan is you need less of it for the same steel strength .. somewhat cheaper (and I know someone may correct but I vaguely recall up to 40% less Vanadium is needed). On a pure price point, without an alternate supply, then the price premium could shift a fair bit from 5% before a buyer might have to look at bang for the buck breakpoint ..

... especially when there is a supply deficit !

Not saying fleece the customer, but it is worth considering best return for the shareholders in a sellers market

no in disagreement here ... but as a shareholder I rather think the time is approaching to maximise more the competitive advantage of Nitrovan. It is not as if the end customers are awash with choice. That in no way is a licence to treat them badly, but they do seem to be getting a 'very very good deal' ... perhaps its time just for a 'very good' deal ?

it is not easy to just put the price up by a larger percentage ---- err .. yes it is .... where else will they get Vanadium and more particularly the more efficient Nitrovan.

I have long not understood the premium being only 5%, but if it save so much vanadium then a higher premium would be sustainable just on hard economics

I was at an EV / Grid symposium last week. Some interesting presentations from the evangelical man of National Grid, to a retired physics professor pouring cold water all over the practicalities.

One thing did stand out was that veh manufacturers are very mixed about it and (if memory serves) Tesla invalidate the battery warranty if it is done.

I think most people really felt it was not a practical large scale solution and may just offer a measure of load balance at times.

Best strap line was veh's should be hydrogen run (fuel cells) as the waste products of chocolate manufacture can be made into hydrogen .... so we would all be forced to eat more chocolate ha ha

I thought that BBN ... either its an aspiration or FM & the BoD has learned somewhat recently to manage the expectations better and plans are rather more solid than can be stated right now .... all fits with the JSE re-time, the Eskom contract re-time, and Ramaphosa's re-guiding of future economic drive to vertical in-house (SA) integrated solutions.

Only the announcement of Bushveld seeking a 'DUAL' listing on JSE. It would make zero sense to move to a SA only trading - pretty sure that might need shareholder approval .. which I cannot see anyone agreeing to

So long as Bushveld stay on a London based exchange then your holding will not be affected
