The only IP is in their proprietary stack. That said, no one really knows its performance as no data has been published. But considering their systems range to about 75Kw and scaling is multiple devices I am not sure there is much of value.

Also, have to consider the further development work if needed and demo systems to gather and prove value. Red has had oodles of cash to do this and just frittered it away. Two years ago several (including myself) posted to red saying a chunk of the placement money (the previous but two placement) should be to put systems in various places to prove and gather data … ignored (one of the reasons I sold out).

Form where I sit there is nothing of value in Red and it looks doomed to fold with ;little if anything of real value

actually, Munters and others have been warning for a fair time that all was not sweet smelling .... if people had read the RNS's, timed to meet fund raises, then vast expenses spending with little actual results, it was ruddy obvious.

nothing to takeover .. their technology is essentially not proven (some field trials in 3 years !) and other players have much bigger installations that are operating. The only IP of value is their proprietary stack arrangement.. which is essentially unproven in scale.

Hang on an see, but unless Scott has some nefarious plan to buy out the IP for a few quid and have a buyer lined up then this is a pure punt investment now - VC with oodles of cash perhaps ...

Like you I bought into the energy storage thing. Originally a small holding in Bushveld and then a very large one in Red ... but it became clear 2 years ago they were going nowhere and I simply stopped trusting anything McGreggor said - he just failed to deliver even the very smallest milestone... That's when I fell out with Bolgas (their greatest evangelist at the time) who went around verbally beating up anyone not towing the narrative .... until even he say a year ago or so that I had been correct.

It is no comfort I am sure ... but we do sometimes forget investment carries risk and those with very large holdings here I am sure appreciate that.... I just came to the conclusion the risk was really only political and getting smaller once Zuma was booted out and the upside enormous

Sorry to hear ... maybe sell what you can and buy Bushveld ... On a more positive note, I do not think £2.50 is too outlandish in 2-3 years if not sooner.

Just remember newbies (particularly), Bushveld's success does not depend on VFRB or Bushveld Energy ... That just takes us to the stars..... Everything mined has a home twice over in the steel industry and even if there was a global recession, construction still has a big deficit of vanadium. Red just kept making promises and delivering nothing ... eventually time runs out... we on the other hand have FM who does keep delivering (slightly slipped time-frames for some things aside)

I am not sure anyone is seriously expecting a dividend from the upcoming results. Far more things to invest in. I would not completely exclude a nominal payment to grab some interest, but to be honest, I doubt FM cares that much for the market divi-hunters when there is so much capital needed for expansion.

Re-invest it all !!
