@Jiimbo - you have no idea how long Alfa or indeed any of us 'are in for'.... but your comment suggests a trader, perhaps a few months, maybe a year, but none the less, a trader.

So you may accept 50p and see it as fair, after all, a nice relatively quick 20, 30 40% profit. Not getting at you specifically, just when someone posts stuff like you did, at least be honest about your timeframes - the majority here have been in for a fair while and will be in some significant guise for 3-5 years+

I had my run-ins with the RED evangelist Blogas but even he turned more than a year ago - you can only get behind it all for so long.

Scotts departure I fear spells the end of RED in the not to distant future and I would not be surprised to see a swallow up/buy out (very possibly a German OEM) but I would not hang a hat for a lot of value. Current MCAP is around 16.5M and I doubt there is that much intangible value.

I keep watching as should it all get together and look like flying, then I may punt a few grand, but right now ... dead in the water

No ruddy chance (especially at 50p) - a very substantial part of Bushveld is owned by a very small number of organisations and individuals.... just park this as it ain't happening any time soon .... not least as this industry has the potential to make SA one of the kep world players and Ramaphosa is not going to allow an external TO when he desperately needs to build a positive, open for business, non corrupt, deliver to the great unwashed picture

with production cost and sale average of ($29) and +$85, a very quick back of the fag packet calc says 10,000 tonnes generates and Ebitda (before exceptional's) of around $270M

Bonuses can only be paid in like with agreed terms and if a divi, then it cannot be selectively distributed as it is a direct removal off the balance sheet to all owners.

It is claptrap to believe there will be any for of dividend payment this year. Far too much to invest in still. The earliest is off this years accounts paid sometime in June/July of next year but even then I see that as early given how much investment is needed to make 10,000 in 3-4 years..

well @BBN. I do recall FM saying the lease model would be made clearer by year end (last year) and even SPA quipped on about clarity of the vertically integrated model.

It is not that it wasn't made clear (just outlined briefly), and it is not that we don't know its coming, but until actual firm details arrive view some RNS/update and an actual end user signs up then little value will be attributed why would anyone not as well read as we not see it as just another wannabe aim miner with grand ideas. I don't really expect much until at least the autumn when the electrolyte plant is closer to operation. (Earlier is a bonus).

As I said a few days ago, we are 18 months away from where most of us thought we would be sometime this year. I don't blame FM or the BoD at all. It does rather seem the Vametco operation has been found wanting in process and capital equipment, both of which are addressed. The priority is increasing production and quality at Vametco and securing Brownfield for a Brits operation..... so all those scared mice who fell off the waggon just don't see what is coming (a tad slower than we would like, but hey ho).

I agree BBN , the Lemur update is amazing ... I did not think the possible NPV was going to be anywhere near that high and even Meyer alluded to attributing value to it later in the year (bu explicitly saying they had not done so far)

just one point I would disagree on BBN ..."By avoiding a reverse takeover the company fell foul of AIM and received a slap on the wrists and a fine".

I thought the fine was because AIM ruled that its interpretation was the right one and the legal advice sought, obtained and followed by the BoD was at odds. There was some criticism of FM at the time for not fighting it, but I suspect a view of just pay and move as there were bigger issues to resolve (like the production and yield drop).

As for FM's plan to be unveiled .. I rather thought he had last year !
